Nothing can save 0.2 update anymore

We all saw the "Stress-test" and GGG failed miserably. If they had Japan's mentality, they would come out and apologize publicly and work trough the holidays to remedy the issues.

Alas, they aint, so we have ... this.

Tbh, this one Reddit post from someone who allegedly works at GGG and leaked what's going on there seems less and less like some made-up stuff now.

my opinion is that 0.2 didnt really change anything about poe 2.. its just the same game that has been unfun in 0.1 and had very specific outliers who got nerfed.. . 0.2 just show you what 0.1 was intended to be .

0.1 really wasnt any fun.. . it was just new and doing campain for first time was interesting and exploring these game and stuff first time was alright. . but 0.1 stoppped being fun very quickly so with no real deep change to the fundamental and direction of the game its self.. why did anyone expect 0.2 to be fun? what problem that we had in 0.1 really been fixed? not slightly improved but fixed? 0 none all of the issues still there..

now that players had to do it again it was just not fun.. and 0.3 will be worse simply because less people gonna want to do all that again so they focus on the fact that its unfun..


my take is that ... its not only that nothing can save 0.2 anymore.. at this rate and without change in leadership and direction nothing can save poe 2 anymore.

I had the same feeling after 0.2 release, 0.1 was "new" but not that good.

Act 1 was fire!
Act 2 started showing how slogging the game could be.
Act 3 is pure bloated. The act could well be divided in two (pre - Act 3 - and pos - Act 4 - time jump)

Endgame is nowhere near close to PoE 1 versatility (Heist, Delve, Sirus, Maven, Elder, Shaper, Synthesis, Searing, Eater, Ubers).

Atlas progression is a mess.

And Ascendency is just pretty bad, Labyrinth at least was fun to do and repeat to get enchantments.

Crafting is a travesty.

PoE 2 0.2 just flashed out how this game is unfinished, unpolished and not well tought.

You are comparing content from 10+yrs game with EA game? Did you actually play PoE1 on launch? Yes there are tons of problems atm in PoE2 but damn some posts on this forum are wild. On both sides. There are so many aRPGs now I am actually baffled how some ppl would rather spend whole days on reddit or forum complaining or complain about complaining. I mean game doesn't resonate with you? Why wouldn't you rather enjoy in some other game until this one is maybe better for you? I just don't get it.

i dont expect 0.3 to be any better.. . matter of fact im not even planning to bother with 0.3 i wont try it and i dont think ill even bother watching their live stream.. . i have 0 hope . the thing is.. the current issues with poe 2 are not issues they can fix in an expansion in 2-3 months.. . the entire game has to change from map size to scaling to crafting to the very fundamental loot system.. endgame need to be entirely remade all leagues and atlas tree and towers and map system.. skills need to be reworked subclasses aswell. .. theres just 0 % chance for 0.3 to bring any REAL and fundamental change to poe 2.. especially not if it will be in 2-3 months from now. . if they shut down poe 2 for a year or two then i maybe believe they changed something

This really is the truth of the matter. 0.1 was never fun in the first place. 0.1 was simply new and interesting for a hot minute due to POE1's success, which allowed everyone to ignore all the readily apparent issues for a short period of time. Now with 0.2, the game is no longer new and none of 0.1's issues have been fixed. How can anyone wonder why there is a ton of negative feedback for 0.2? Backlash should have been expected, especially considering 0.2 only brought nerfs, is the result of 7 years of development, and has put POE1 on development hiatus for the last year.

A June POE1 league, I believe that when I see it.

PoE1 had to create new stuff, mechanics, leagues, systems, etc., while PoE2 had a "blueprint" from a game with over 10 years of experience. Comparing it to PoE1 launch is actually a wild take, not the other way around.
PoE1 was made in a garage, and now look how far GGG has grown, while not being able to deliver.
Furthermore, it was GGG's choice to bait and switch from "PoE2 as a PoE1 expansion with all the already existing systems" to "PoE2 as a standalone game with... barely anything.".

Unless they come out with a major, MAJOR patch with 0.2g then yeah this league is probably pretty much dead by the end of the week.
