I'm aware of that.
It's just gotten to a point where mods are scared that if the subreddit gets too snarky GGG might refuse to address real issues that the users bring up.

They went from being very communicative to essentially radio silence.

yea thats not the reason....
guarantee its cus internet babies keep making personal attacks against him and the mods are tired of dealing with it

Check out my post on page 1. Pretty much sums it up. They are very ban-happy these days.

Oh, see you mentioned him. That is ban worthy on the subreddits.

I realise you want this to be sensational but... seems fine to me?

Why would I need to mention him when talking about the game.

Sadly reddit is no different to every other forum these days but properly moderated forums are a gold mine for developers and players both when it comes to games and keeping personals out of it is part of that.
try call him Voldemort
This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?

Maybe because he's doing interviews with famous PoE content creators every so often?
I'd rather see Mark give more interviews. He has a vastly differing opinion to mine when it comes to the idea of what makes the game fun, as he's more of the Ruthless guy, but at least he gives level-headed responses and takes the time to think about the opinions of others without forcing his own on you. And he doesn't give off the impression that he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. He'd prefer Ruthless to be more standard, at least from what I gathered from previous interviews when he finally does get a few words in, though he listens to what players want and can oppose certain ideas with examples of why they would be a bad idea without coming across as condescending and apathetic. He's concise and non-sensationalist; basically exactly what I want to see from a PoE dev giving interviews.

Jonathan tends to reign him in from time to time and basically goes "but think of the players", which doesn't sit right with me because it always seems so fake when compared to many of his other responses that essentially show the opposite stance. "Players don't know what they want", "[this] isn't fun because you can't see the boss mechanics", "we want items to matter more" while making encounters more skill based, i.e. see Maven, or all the PoE 2 bosses. So many contradictions in his (public) statements.

Let Mark speak. He should be allowed to have more interview time. It often looks like he wants to say something, but then gets interrupted or never allowed to actually say a few words. I always thought Mark isn't the super talkative type, and while I still think that might be the case, I think he just dislikes having to be this hyped up for everything and wants to talk at his own pace. Or maybe he isn't the type for taking the heat. /shrug

Go, Mark!

Go, Mark!

+1 Mark is great, exactly the kind of leadership GGG needs now more than ever.
+1 to this post overall

Got a 14 day ban for just having normal build convo's I get GGG is not involved with reddit. But man, as one of the large communities for the game.

Reddit is an incredibly frustrating experience of a lack of free speech.

I hope the mods don't run off a bunch of new players. They are basically banning anyone with a complex opinion.

I know it's difficult for many of you, but the answer is easy. Stay away from that shithole and make like it doesn't exist.

The correct answer. Reddit is only usable in the first few weeks of a new league until someone figures out the hidden mechanics under the hood, best builds and how to profit off them. After that it's all "look at my mirrors" and comments stemming out of boredom or trolling.
