The POE subreddit has blacklisted Jonathan's name
" Sad but true. |

GGG as a whole should be target for criticism not individuals but if this is true I honestly think its fair, the reddit has far too much targeted vitriol and it isn't healthy nor is it beneficial.
Basically I disagree completely with Jonathan about most design issues but that doesn't mean I should be able to stick his name in every post i make about what beef I have that is just toxic behaviour no other way to phrase it. It won't benefit us either as all that happens is they won't talk to the players as much as they need to talk the players. Chris got this kind of behaviour alot as well with people spamming the vision memes on anything they disagreed with. Its just ugly. Though personally i'd prefer sites just get moderated properly, you can have communities where frank discussions occur regularly but part of that is having players mature enough to accept that they won't always get their way or GGG don't have to listen to them (in this case) GGG have made decisions in the past that I thought were dumb that worked out great, simultaneously they've made decisions i thought were dumb that were dumb. Its rarely cut and dried. Edit: slightly off topic but GGG do have their own forums where they can be moderated and curated properly so if they are to blame for any part of this its that they wilfully engage in a third party controlled their news/information spread. " Agree with your post in full - but this, in particular, deserves to be highlighted. I'm working on something for the PoE community! 👀

![]() the mods there are an absolute joke. shouldn't expect any better from reddit idiots tbh. |

" Nah criticising a main designer is valid. Especially when he made an interview literally saying he will do whatever he wants and doesn't care about players. Like... People bought supporter packs, supported PoE1 for years and that's official response? Of course, as long as you target him in regards of Path of Exile (no doxx etc.). But I am sure the deleted comments did exactly that. |

Someone stated the mods on Reddit are volunteers. Is there a way to see who they are? Guessing that's a no, but would be nice to see who they actually work for when they aren't "volunteering".
I poop, therefore I am.

" If its true i wouldnt wonder ... if you cant stand by your shit decisions tells me more about a person than i need to know and fits my image of him. We saw what kind of a person he is in january when he clearly knew they couldnt make it till february. No balls no backbone. Last edited by tycrus#4406 on May 1, 2025, 6:20:15 PM

Don't worry. I got banned from both for pushing back about Chris. All I said was "Chris used to get upset/disappointed when his changes had to be nerfed into irrelevance. He then went on his Ruthless crusade, and after that flopped he sold off his remaining stake. To go collect magic cards". When someone was trying to glaze him.
No insults. Just a factual timeline of events. Their moderation teams are horrible. I get if I personally insulted him or made a threat, which I did not. Last edited by Moregaze#2933 on May 1, 2025, 7:07:53 PM

" Oh, see you mentioned him. That is ban worthy on the subreddits. Last edited by Moregaze#2933 on May 1, 2025, 6:59:40 PM

they can kill off any last bit of discussion, sure, but both subreddits are already very dead and should the next content update arrive, they'll have created even more people that respond in complete apathy to poe.
i mean clearly, the game isn't doing well, including the sequel, and it's entirely a management issue. the devs and artists are really talanted so it's not that. |
