dps more important than defense for pinnacle bosses

Isn't this the case for everything in this game?
I'm running full resistences, average to good evasion+block , 52% Chaos resistance.

Yet, the best defence for me is the DPS , the more and quick enemies I can kill, the better I survive.

So yeah...for me at least, the best defense has always been to have a big , high , crazy weapon & skills for high DPS.

Right now on my Amazon Huntress I'm doing 22.2K DPS per lightning spear, and this is what keeps me alive in tier 15 maps....

I did not even get to the Pinnacle boss , or to Xesh , or anything else.......


Yes, that's exactly the case: if you one-shot first, you survive.
And that's the core problem-but how to avoid it? You can't cap player DPS, and scaling/balancing boss/monster HP will never be enough, since players will always find ways to gain even more DPS.
So, it's one of the trickiest aspects to address in this type of ARPG, imo. The campaign is genuinely fun because the boss fights feel more intense

Then you should expect to get one-shot by a boss-it’s kind of the essence of your class. But don’t worry, Deadeyes died a lot in PoE 1 too, except we had 6 portals :p


I understand, I'm still redoing the build, but I can't kill the boss Pinacle +4 or more Pinacle, I don't have enough dps before I wipe it out with some of my insta kill mechanics, and the attacks speed up with the time I spend on the boss.
