Is PoE2 Falling Apart? How Long Until We Get Real Fixes?

"

Well I was wrong about that!

I was just eyeballing steamcharts myself.

I kinda wanna see this graph after 0.2g again now. I think worse retention is to be expected to some level because the content is very largely the same still but I wonder if 0.2g is going to stop the sharper fall at the end here or not.
My guess, on day 30 of 0.2.0 we will see the same number 0.1.0 had on day 90.
While they keep patching stuff, these changes do not always hit the right target or are too small to get massive amounts of ppl back. But hey, who knows?

I think they need to add some big disclaimer and tell players what early access means.

You know it could also be that people naturally turn to other games after a few months. The player loss is not something unusual. It isn't necessarily connected to the 0.2.0 patch.

Over 10 years of PoE1 shows a different picture, and it's about the downwards trend from PoE2 0.2.0 compared to 0.1.0.
What you make of the data is up to you, but thinking the downwards trend of 0.2.0 isn't necessarily connected to the patch itself... sure.

There is no proof that it is connected in any way, atleast not that I have seen.

Like I said, what you do with the data and/or how the "climate" looks like, is up to you.

Yeah, but people like you claim it's because of the 0.2.0 patch. Don't you?

Player count isn't dropping any faster than on 0.1 or compared to other games. 0.2 has better player retention than any PoE 1 patch.

ggg relies on gambling mechanics, micro-transactions and addiction to retain playerbase. glad people are leaving, maybe they're going outside and spending time in nature.
