Has anyone actually looked at the odds for crafting?

Recombinator

10 tries , around 50% chance, 0 success

IMHO its SCAM.

What you expect from system which is gambling of gambling? :D

What gambling man? WHAT gambling?
They let you CHERRY PICK your mods for your gear.

Not happening from the first try is not gambling.
You can just spam recombination until it happens, and then you are set.

And ppl win the lottery. What was your point?

Depends how competent you are in math.

If you are clueless how to calculate stuff, sure - it looks like black magic and luck for you. But so is the case for POE 1 crafting.

I will simplify it so you get the point:

1. You check which mods are more likely to roll, and which are more rare:

2. You get the required rare mods.
- Trade site for the rarest mods like +7 to skills.
- Essence on bases for gambling defensive mods like chaos resistance.
- Exotic coins reroll.

All of those are practically free. With some exceptions, you should be able to find the mods for 1 exalt.

3. You recombine 2 to 3 mods, and finish with purple omens.

In Patch 0.1.0, such items were sold for hundreds of divines.
You can get them for 10-20 divs in 0.2.0.

But why waste time to think, when you can complain how bad everything is?

This guy looked. He has all the divs currently. (stash capped)
You Can run simulations in craft of exile. I did this last patch for scepters to see what the odds were for chaos spamming into +5 minion skill and High tier Spirit mods. Was very low odds like 1/5000 if I remember correctly

That is exactly why the price of those items was astronomical.

Now you can recombine those for several divines max... And people are still crying and complaining.

There is no pleasing those guys... They want everything served to them for free.
Without having to think and work towards their build even for a second.
Buy bases, buy purple omens, buy orbs of annulment. Nice "crafting" system

Christ... PoE 1 had some bad odds but at least there was slight determinism in those odds, you could influence it and eventually guarantee an outcome....

this is just insane 0.o

I'm actually at a loss for words at how bad you've implemented crafting... it's like you "want" scarcity, my honest perspective is that since tencent took over you're forcing this scarcity? I wonder why -_-

It requires some knowledge and RNG, but it's not as bad as people make it. I crafted my gloves which would cost me 50+ divs to buy for just 20 divs. I also crafted other gloves in the process which failed, even another 50 div gloves which i bricked with a vaal orb, cause i am going for double socket. At the end i made 12 divs back, so only 8 divs to craft my gloves which i could sell for 50+ divs.

Yea...right ! :D

I have reached level 96 with my sorceress, having played from the beginning. I have never, I repeat, NEVER received anything worthwhile from this poorly designed "crafting" system, which I consider to be a form of gambling by everybody!

Jesus, What are you referring to?!

I invested countless resources and received nothing in return. My build is based ONLY by 100% Trade Juice.

I will not discuss the current situation following patch 0.2, as you do not possess the necessary materials for that.

I believe you may have played a different game.
