Honest Suggestion: Rename POE2 "Savior of Wraeclast" and make a real POE sequel.

Actually I kind of agree with the OP, it feels like many of the people who worked on POE2 either don't know that much about POE1's lore and setting or they willfully tried to do something else...

I found it very distracting for instance that, the Maraketh used to be an East Asia styled culture, but now it's Middle Eastern? Like, what happened? In POE1 the Maraketh weapons are katanas and sais and so on, so... what happened?
Yep, not too much crossover though. A lot of the lore is wrong.

Oh, have you noticed this too? Can you point out some other stuff? There's the Maraketh stuff, but is there other stuff too?
There is a lot of lore missing and bosses missing.
Its easter weekend,, still no real league for POE1. Hell if they do this I am ok not having a league for 6 months. But only if they commit to doing this.

POE2 is now at 65k players and LE at 85k. But LE's player hold is better than POE at all times. Hmm ... I wonder what people want?

5. Revamp of the currency for late game drops to get 6 links or even six links with built in advanced skills. For example more "Supports socketed skills with Brutality"
6. Character creation screen to get rid of gender locked characters.
7. Some better voice actions for character monologue (please make female witch be a little less b*tchy).
8. Combine Delve and Maps into a new atlas endgame. Each node in the delve tree is actually a map. The maps go endlessly and get harder. Once someone is at a certain depth they encounter random pinnacle bosses.
9. Add all of the Phrecia ascendancies (appropriately tinkered with) to the original making 5 ascendancies per class.
10. Add 2 entirely new classes with 5 ascendancies.
11. Smooth out the passive tree so cluster jewels are no longer needed.
12. Have everyone start dead center of passive tree. Choose your own direction, no need to traverse nodes to get to witch. Class should only be used to determine ascendancy type and innate skills.
13. Add new currency types especially at end game to craft more advanced loot.
14. Allow loot filters to be customized in game and even be shared for a specific class or build in game.
15. Rebuild the workbench to include things like horticulture, runes and other kinds of crafting in one device.
15. Seriously dump the settlers of Kalgur town as it is like age of empires inside POE and more annoying than anything. (opinion). If you arent going to dump it, let it be the hideout.

You want to do this and I will spring for the $1000 supporter pack.

Let the people on the current game have their game and lets get a true sequel like you originally intended.


POE 2 is just an expansion using all the game mechanics except a few combat tweaks poe 1 possesses. The majority of the content including trade and currency and how currency and loot drop is EXACTLY what POE 1 is.

Thus, Expansion.

Most of the games that will come out in following years will not have character creation option because it is an expensive and unnecessary feature specially for a game like PoE. By end-game you probably are using an armour mtx.

But I think GGG can take a leaf out of valve’s book and release an opposing gender of classes (a single model) as MTX with high price tag. This worked very well for DoTA2 and they made a lot of money by selling skins for heroes.
