" People who can afford these gloves will be able to afford kaoms. Also you're really picking at the smallest part of the post... having 200 less potential life is not exactly going to stop this item from being BiS for all elemental hit builds(wanders,LA users,roa users, cleavers..etc). " I am not sure how much those gloves will cost, but atm it is in high demands, so it will at a high price for a while. Kaom's Heart is the most expensive gear in the game. I highly doubt these gloves will stay that expensive for a long time. Still, like you said, those that can afford em, can afford Kaoms, but not a lot in numbers. I only nitpicked that part of your post since I kinda found a bit farfetched. I mean I would understand if Average Joes has them already. The only best route would be to go with the gloves would be if I am into CI build (which one of my char is). Everything else is understandable in a sense that it has too much benefits for those that already popular builds. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

" That's exactly my point. Even the OP kaoms and shavronne require you to make a build around them. I find both of those extremely powerful but their downside is well designed compared to this item. You can just slap this onto any of those elemental builds and they become hugely more powerful It should have had a downside that requires people to build around it. Edit: Thinking on this a bit more.. It's extremely inconsistent with many of the other released uniques. For example voll's protector. It already barely has any stats and has an additional -50% maximum mana. It's a powerful effect but is hampered by far too many downsides(no life,res,armor,high ES,huge decrease in mana, only one offensive aspect). It seems like GGG is emphasizing some uniques over all others.. instead of making each unique interesting in its own way. They don't all have to be build defining same way not all need to be extremely powerful. Powerful ones need to be kept to niche builds(and hence build defining) instead of becoming the BiS in a huge variety of builds like this item has done(or kaoms). " The only thing I can think of that can make a downside for the gloves is having around 50% more of getting status ailments, and take around 20% more elemental damage from mobs. The other thing that GGG can do is make the mobs that have elemental reflect affix be more brutal with the ele reflect. Though, these gloves does help spark and arc a lot since they are not too popular. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Gamebreaking item. I don't know whether GGG made them or allowed a player to make them, but it's unacceptable either way. Those gloves are so stupidly overpowered that there's simply no justification. I really hope we're not seeing a new trend of players buying the right to make overpoweredi tems for their favourite builds. Moreover, it's another nail in the coffin for physical damage and a gigantic buff to the already overpowered additive elemental damage builds. I don't understand why GGG can't see how ridiculous this is. It's getting to the point where I have to wonder if they just like those builds better and are intentionally making them disproportionally powerful at the expense of physical builds.
