Same for me. Black screen with "gears" for ~6-10 sec every 15-20 minutes.

I am experiencing black screens for sometimes up to 30-45 seconds when i open or close the map. Sometimes I get the falling embers instead... Do you guys plan on fixing this, or is it the type of thing that you deem OK to be in your shiny new game?
