Am I wrong to think that the steam reviews are largely just the culture and environment that streamers created? They were already pissed off at GGG for timing their release next to Last Epoch, then the nerf fest came out and outrage sold more copies for them than saying "well its decent but this this and this could use some fixes". It's kind of like when 4chan decides they want to vote on something on the internet. Lets come up with our own opinions instead of basing it on the polls, how about that ?

"That statement is inherently saying "the numbers would not have gone down if they'd done X instead". A new game is going to have an inflated number as players come to see what it's doing. Some players are inevitably going to decide it's not for them. Other players are going to decide "this is not in a good state, I'll come back on release, however many months in the future that is". |

" I can never find myself going off of Steam reviews that base off of a short span of mass downvoting, especially on a product that is positive, because I find the majority of the time they are jumped onto & the outcome of that rating is off of something that just happened & hasn't had time to change, not only that, a lack of patience, but most of the time people a bulk of those reviews don't change or they get adapted around what other new thing can be complained about, Too many reviews are too immediately defining & lack reasoning, they are stated as if the reason that got them to make it negative is at the end result & it is doomed forever |

I am confused, how is shilling feedback? This isn't honest, this is complete nonsense. An ARPG with two builds, horribly tedious campaign, diabolical risk vs reward mechanics, slow and monotonous gameplay even with "the meta". Cancerous trade mechanics. Hundreds of skills none of them work, not even as place holders. Hundreds of support gems that nobody in their right mind would use. Endgame is awfully slow and unrewarding. XP loss for no reason other than to piss off the player base. -60% resistances because they did it in the first game? My god they even introduced "dodge roll" like it was some epoch making revelation and it still sucks. This ^^^^ is objective fact guys, it isn't even funny anymore. I am happy some people are enjoying the game but cope shilling? Seriously, or is it trolling? Don't know don't care. Positive reinforcing this game in its current state isn't helpful. I am happy now to let the game die. The fact remains POE is the ONLY game in its class right now, but nothing is forever just ask blizzard. Blizzard tried to rely on the nostalgia of other diablo titles and thought they could take the piss. No more Diablo games will ever exist again unless someone buys the IP, funny that. The numbers were great, millions of players now D4 isn't in the steam top 100. The hard fact remains that the vast majority of income is from veteran POE 1 players. POE 1 is dead, if GGG they want to stay in business..... Whatever don't care anymore. |
