Experience gain after level 86 is the biggest garbage in the world. Game hates you

"
That's the point. It's not supposed to be something everyone attains in 2. Just like it wasn't in 1. Over time I'm sure it'll change as more stuff gets added, though I prefer it not being a given that everyone reaches 100.

It's just such a weird thing to be so mad about to me. You can do literally anything in the game without it. If you want it to be a stretch goal it can be. I don't think it's remotely a bad thing for their to be stretch goals in games that 90% of people will never see. This is like complaining about the rarity of Mageblood in 1 to me.

Also the skill part is less about the grind and more about being able to not die repeatedly. Which isn't incredibly hard even with the weak defense in 2 atm. And exp loss on death is the part people complain about the most, when they can mitigate it with gear and skill and patience.

No one claimed everyone should get it. I don't understand why some people have to make strawman arguments like this every time this gets brought up.

Also, my 92 Merc wasn't dying repeatedly. I could die once every 10-20 maps and still move backwards in exp. The deaths were almost also something stupid too, not even a skill issue. Sometimes it would be a dodge roll and halfway through the roll multiple spells stacked and some melee attack with 300% movement speed would hit right where my roll ended. Sometimes it was an off screen spell when collecting loot. Sometimes it was insanely fast monsters in a narrow hallway with literally no room to escape.

Bottom line is the penalty is way out of balance with the exp gain. If map tiers went into the 20s and I keep dying and losing exp, then you could argue my build or skill needs improvement. Where it's at now, the only counter is to have God tier gear combined with a top meta build that basically just doesn't involve any skill because you're clearing screens instantly.

Patch 0.2 turning leveling into a psychological experiment. “How much pain can one endure before uninstalling?” Honestly impressed by the creativity.

+1
They literally want zero people to make it to 100 if that's even the cap... No one will ever know the lvl cap.
Kinda glad 100 is a huge grind because its godly.
When D4 released level 100 became an expectation and devs hastened the journey so that everyone could hit 100 and it cheapened the game.

Agree with KaosuRyoko#1633 100% its a state of mind.

Enjoy the journey not the destination.

Level 100 is supposed to be a fairly hard stretch goal. Nothing wrong with that. There's not a single thing in the game you can't do at level 85 that you'd be able to do at level 100. Just update your mentality and it becomes a lot more fun. I had to do the same thing back in 1 and leveling isn't nearly as hard there. Once you hit around level 80, atlas and heart progression are the real goals. Then if you're good enough you can try to grind 100 if you really want, but outside of nerd cred it means nothing.

Completely lame response that's been regurgitated since release.

And the OP regurgitated the same made up number about xp loss. Difference between those two things is that one is true.

I thought that reaching lvl 100 in this league would be easier, since it is possible to combine 3 tablets with experience gain.

If the endworld map's RNG helps with 3 nearby towers, we will have 9 tablets with experience influencing an area.

Add to that the possible boosts of the atlas on the tablets and boom lvl 100.

I'm still at lvl 83 and looking to complete the nexus, as soon as I start making T15+ maps I will test this mechanic of 3 tablets in a tower.

When the destination seems unobtainable, and the journey is designed to keep you from getting there, the journey itself is not enjoyable.

I'm also told by everyone defending this design that lvl 100 shouldn't matter and there's other content. Ok, then it shouldn't matter if I reach 100 since there's plenty of other content to play with.
