Huntress is still a bit weak. 54 Hours 71 deaths. Still act 1 cruel

Ok, let's just clear this 1st out of the way.
I'm not a veteran POE player and I'm not the best player out there, I'm just a casual player who enjoys the game a lot.
This update feels a bit slower but that's fine.
I have confidence in GGG and I'm sure everything will turn out to be amazing in the next update or upon the release of the full game.
Either way, PROPS to GGG for how they responded to the community and took action immediately.

Currently I'm (again) at Count Geonor, this time in Cruel and I'm again struggling a bit with him.
That's fine.

I jsut believe that the Huntress could benefit of a bit more movement speed by default, maybe a bit of 1-2% movement increase & spear throw/stab increase.

I'm full resistences , my spear is pretty good for this part at least (until I get a better one) .
I'm also using this build guide https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/d7fbcda0-a6bd-481f-a910-fb039d2fb3a3/builds/de8ba91e-dfbb-45e4-b45c-510b28dd5a655 and it helped me a lot.

It's fine, I'll get Geonor since I killed him aat least 12 times since the release of EA.

I'm just giving my 2 cents here, what's your openion?
Don't you (the community) believe that the huntress should have a bit more attack&movement speed by default?

I'm 54 hours in, died 71 times, and I still did not reach endgame, I'm at Count Geonor in Act 1 :))))))))
I think my main issue is that the RNG is way too random for the loot drops/gold drops, and maybe that's why it took me so god damn long to get to a point where I could buy a spear for 3 exalts.

EDIT:
I finally managed to beat him after parrying & Dissengaging & dodging for 10 minutes. I managed to beat him again and just started Act 2 Cruel

My god, my dude—71 deaths?!
No judgment from me (especially since I haven’t even reached Cruel yet this patch), but I feel like you might benefit from a bit of helpful advice.

As a HCSSF player, I’ve learned to really make the most of my loot and heavily prioritize defenses. I’m definitely not the best player either—after 550 hours, I’ve only reached maps twice—but I have become a bit of a campaign master by now, haha.

Here are some tips that might help you out:

And just so you know they actually work, here’s a link to a guy who followed the same basic advice and crushed his wall on the first try!

Good luck, my dude—stay strong, you got this!
this is a player/skill issue. also im not really sure mobalytics has any positive standing for guides.

G'day mate, could you clarify what you meant by this?
Sorry—old Gen X here just trying to keep up! 😅

PS: The advice I was referring to was genuinely meant in the spirit of helping players improve and better understand the game—so we don’t end up with things getting nerfed simply because people are playing in ways that aren’t very effective or well-informed.
She scales massively in the endgame, thanks to nodes that give you attack speed for accuracy etc.

In the campaign though, there is no other way around than to invest aggresively into attack speed and damage.

It seems that they considered somewhat the end game potential and tuned it down overall.

This coupled with unlucky rng makes for a possibly miserable start.

Whether her power needs to be transfered towards early game it's up to debate and it's tricky stuff, you would need to do that for other characters aswell etc.

Balancing this game is for sure hell with so many combinations, on top of the intention to make this game mechanically correct instead of endgame zoomfest, and developers should not be getting flamed like that, it is 0.2 beta.

That's nice that you understand that though, and it would probably be much easier for you to reconsider passive tree choices at the moment than for them to rebalance it all.

It would roughly end up probably similar anyway.

What i can say, it's all perfectly doable to beat it on current version, possibly slap some more speed and damage on character, readjust gear and should be fine.

The loot is indeed poor in campaign and fixing that would probably be number one thing instead of rebalancing characters and it would remove most of the issues with campaign I believe, as with good gear it is completely different conversation.

Thanks man.
I'm already applying/doing all of the steps from this guide.
The only thing that I don;t do that much is " 🛑 Step 3: White Weapon, Big Dreams 🛑"

I'll implement that more often.

You make good points, especially in the last part of your post
