Same! Uninstalled today. People say “JUST DODGE ROLL” well that’s hard when they are shooting from 7 grouped up range mobs staggering the shots, and if you do dodge roll , god forbid there are any. Melee monsters nearby that will run up and start stunning you with melee, now you’re stuck! You can’t dodge roll everything, then you end up. On the edge of the map and body blocked. Now you can’t attack or cast spell because stuns! You’re dead. Try harder
the problem is they STUN YOU OUT OF YOUR ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


you roll and the hit stuns you, then 5 other attacks hit and continue the stun

How much life do you have? Stun threshold is based in life, if you use energy shield has to take some passives to convert stun threshold. Physical damage has more chance of cause stun. You probably need some physical mitigation or avoidance of damage, but elemental or chaos damage can stun too, so you need pay attention to resistances. If you have low life, no ES stun threshold conversion, no mitigation, you will need to dodge.

even if a mob coughs i get "mini stunned/staggered/whatever its called"

and that leads up to a chain of those and within 1-2s youre dead.

just reached act 3 "past time" and every vaal mob does some sort of stagger stun.
cant get past it and im done. why would i torture myself with a bad game
Like I said the game has some mechanics, if you don't want to be stunned you need solve this problem in some way. You can invest in life through gear, or strength which can be solved with gear and passives. I don't know your build, you can use block and evasion too, if you are ranged you can try to be more safe. It's up to you if you want to keep playing, but there is ways to solve the problem and the game is about this.

Well they're giving bad advice. "Just dodge roll" works in 1v1, you need something else in 1v40. Melee classes have a mass slow skill. All classes can easily reach a wall skill. All classes also have jump skills like Leap Slam or Lightning Warp. It's also easy to get access to an ally, be it minion, companion or totem. The best way to not get stunned is to never get hit - you have the tools, use them.

Seriously, why are you letting ranged mobs hit you when you can put a wall in the way? Or if you insist on getting to melee range, why aren't you running up with Shield Charge so you block their shots?

That means your gear is terrible: you're not investing in Max Life to stop those stuns. Also see above for not getting hit in the first place.


Stun is catching a lot of new players off, it probably warrants a tutorial on how to avoid getting stunlocked.

so I'm smith of kitava with 1880 health, over 350 strength at lvl 66, over maxed elemental resistances, 35% chaos resist with 50% armour that also mitigates chaos damage, I also have at least 6 stun threshold passives on skill tree.

All of this and when I enter my first waystone lvl 1 where the only buff monsters have is "+100% to stun chance against players," I literally get stunned over and over and over and over from every monster regardless of rarity and power of each hit. That is insane and should be nerfed. I can only imagine what players that weren't using warrior and not building strength attribute were dealing with in campaign, let alone endgame. Stun was already a bit egregious before in 0.1.0, but now? it's ridiculous

In PoE1 we had Unwavering Stance to mitigate it. Cant evade attacks but cant be stunned. Can block, Can soak the dmg coz we had HP NODES, Can mitigate with armor and phis dmg reduction, Can mitigate with Endurance charges, Can mitigate with Fortify. You could play as a proper Warrior Class !!! Tank hits and hit enemies without being stunned like a little girl.

In PoE2 we have Unwavering Stance. Removes light stun but also removes Dodge Roll skill that the WHOLE GAME IS BUILT AROUND ! Why not the same evade chance ? We have no HP pool to soak the dmg! We have no Fortify! We have no endurance charge phys reduction! Is is an impossibility to play as Proper melee toon.
You cant tank anything. You HAVE TO SOSGE ROLL LIKE A LITTLE GIRL EVEN IF YOU ARE A TITAN!!! Little girly Titan, go on now, use that dodge roll like a good boy!

Also enemies push you around but you cant even push the smallest spider wit ha shield charge... THE MIGHTY TITAN !!!!

There is no fluidity. Combat is JANK in all aspects outside of Boss fights.
Because in a boss fight you have a regulated environment where you don't have 70 things shooting you and chainstunning you.

1880 for SOK at level 66 is way, way too low for a melee build. Assuming your strength actually is 350 (gives 700 life) and taking into account you get 12 max life per level and you start at 28 (total 28 + 65*12 = 808), you invested at most 1880-1508 = 372 life from gear and nodes (even though SOK has access to one of the biggest life nodes in the ascendancy tree).

Stun threshold increases are percentage-based, so they're not going help diddly squat without the max life to back it up if you have no other means of mitigation (evasion/block/other stuff that has already been pointed out). That would be difficult in a *normal* waystone, let alone in a waystone with a double-stun affix.

Stun is fine where it is.
