Lich sucks and i cannot even change my ascendancy + PoE rant

"Lich" has some really insane upsides, but I think has some problems that make it not fish, not meat.

If you take "Soulless Form" and "Eternal Life" you have actually decent mana gain. On top, if you stack "damage bypasses energy shield" with "Atziri's Disdain" (10%), "Soulless Form" (10%) and the node "Heavy Buffer" (5%), you take 25% less damage as long as you have ES, obviously. That's HUGE, like massive.

If you play "Essence Drain/Contagion", the "Eldritch Empowerment" and the two curse nodes can be really good.

"Crystalline Phylacterie" is a great choice if you have a perfect jewel with "%ES and Mana on kill yadda yadda".

The problem I have with Lich, it was presented as the "Necromancer", but it is barely designed for minions.

What? Unholy Might? Ok, cool. "Eldritch Empowerment"? Does nothing for minions because they are "Minion Skills" and not "Spell Skills". "Price of Power"? Same.
Curse? Sure. If you want to self-cast curses.

Compare that to the "Necromancer" in PoE1, and you lose your mind.

So, why is "Lich" so popular? Well, it's a new ascendancy, easy to build if you play "Chaos Dot", can have 25% less damage taken and has decent damage.
But... could it be... that another point is because the "not new stuff" is mostly weak?
We have Amazon, Smith of Kitava, Lich, Gemling as the top, and "Deadeye" sneaking in... but what is with the rest? Can mostly not compete.

At least they add "Ascendancy Respecc", so if you don't like it, you can swap.

Bro, that's actually a massive buff. just stack a really FAT es, and you can permanently enjoy the buffs that apply on low life.

For more damage you should be using Eldritch Empowerment and Philactery. Lich is absolutely cracked, except the quirk is that you need to stack a lot of ES, which is super easy.

This isn't PoE1, there are minimal buffs to take advantage of at Low life whether a caster or a melee Lich. Possible I missed them, but I aint seeing them.
