Lich sucks and i cannot even change my ascendancy + PoE rant

-Unholy might does not increase the damage of damage over time effects
-Chaos DoT is not an Ailment -Curse hexproof is basically useless since hexblast can only be used conditionally and the damage is negligible -No convenient way to generate power charges for 25% more Damage from ascendancy -I cannot change my ascendancy -I tried cast on minion death, but triggered spells now cost mana, making it atricous to play It feels like i am not allowed to do anything cool in the videogame for the sake of meaningful combat ----- I was having a blast in december and was really excited for the next updates, it felt like this was a game to look forward to It did not take long for the economy to spiral out of control and I decided to wait for 0.2 Now that 0.2 is here the game no longer feels like it was made for me. Path of Exile used to be a game with an impossibly high ceiling and even after thousands of hours there are builds that were completely new to me. PoE2 just feels like its supposed to be a hard game but instead of making it hard its just making me uncomfortable while playing and i am not allowed to do cool stuff like i used to be in PoE1 or even back in december. Now, even if the game gets "fixed" the economy will no longer be a fresh start and whatever items are build enabling will no longer be available for casuals. I was not having fun throughout the campaign, but i kept played anyways because i like trading on a fresh start. Now i am in maps and the gameplay is just atrocious. Jonathan keeps saying that he will make changes to make everyone happy... Please, give me back PoE 1, PoE 2 is no longer a game thats made for me. I've been desperately trying to find some sort of upside to this ascendancy and I think i'm ready to just make another witch and choose one of the others.
You know the perks on the right side of the ascendancy? The one that says health cannot change unless you have no ES? Yeah they meant that lol. I found myself with 100 health and made the mistake of using Convalescence to regen my ES. SO this means when I go into a map and the first chance my shield gets ripped, im dead unless im somehow faster than the UI update. And nah, the well doesnt work to regen that health either. Guess who wasted a map and all my modifiers? In hindsight I could have gone to one of the campaign maps and let them kill me but feels terrible that that is the only solution. |

" Bro, that's actually a massive buff. just stack a really FAT es, and you can permanently enjoy the buffs that apply on low life. For more damage you should be using Eldritch Empowerment and Philactery. Lich is absolutely cracked, except the quirk is that you need to stack a lot of ES, which is super easy. |

" You're complaining about one of the most broken ascendancy classes in the game. Triggered spells cost mana in PoE 1 too. Sounds like you don't actually enjoy hard games and prefer games that can be trivialized by a build guide like PoE 1. |

Wait until you lose all your ES and can't cast spells because you are carrying the core in ultimatum, so you cannot defend yourself at all and are degenerating so ES will never recharge meaning you just lose because mobs also interrupt you while you are trying to PLACE the core.

I thought Lich was bad at fist also, then I realized that with eternal life, all the "damage bypasses energy shield" type effects just straight eliminate that damage.
Eternal life is clunky but a very powerful defensive skill. That made me realize that ever other node is balanced around you having this skill. Some of the nodes suck at low gear levels, but once you get enough energy shield and recharge, they become a LOT better. I get why you might think the class sucks though. It's not. Good luck. |
