Johnathan is too married to the idea in his head.

Like the title says. After watching the interview with ziz, most of Johnathan's answers seemed to be "I'm personally not having that issues, so the playerbase must be doing something wrong"

Sure, in some cases the playerbase might be doing things incorrectly relative to the vision of how said thing should be handled, but Johnathan wasn't really able to grasp any of ziz's points or would go full defense mode about whatever mechanic or interaction was under the spotlight of the question.

I think Johnathan is too married to the idea of what he wants poe2 to be in his head, and it's not translating in the real world. Johnathan worries me for the future of this game.

Mark is goated though, big time!

Mark at least seems willing to work with players on their feedback
Exactly. Look into the issues and then find a way to solve them that works around the vision, but Johnathan is just "nope. vision good the way vision is. no problems everyone. there is no war in ba sing se"
I appreciate Jonathon and mark doing an interview. Do I agree with everything,no. I do however feel that if player input and and their design gets closer so everyone is happier with the end product.

I personally would love the campaign to be 4 hours tops, as after the the first playthrought, I find the campaign very boring. I love the end game and just want to blast to the end game.I also just want to blow stuff up and want to be strong, but not so strong game is over in 3 hours also.I do also enjoy doing multiple playthrought so i would like that it doesnt take 2 months to get one character strong, so i can't make other characters within a reasonable time.

Thank you Jonathon and mark for the interview and listening to the community to enhance the experience for everyone.
Exactly. Good business is to value customer feedback, not fight against it over and over again.
Its important that SOMEONE keeps strong to the vision they started with. I would rather have a passionate game dev, than one who only acts in service to, for and only the customers or the loudest group.

I cannot re-iterate this enough, Has history not JUST proven this fact? Games like saints row, AC series - or the equivalent pushback from communities in games like HD2 and Space Marines 2.

Are the examples NOT numerous enough for you all, that you believe that they should always bend and sway to your whims and preferences? whats worse - so many of you forget that their are opposing views within YOUR communities - you gather in groups of like minded individuals, or you gravitate toward opinions you agree with - and then you assume those opinions are of the whole community!

And examples of this are RIFE within these forums, Youtube, and this thread!

OH! and god forbid any opinion opposing your view, chastising you, or calling you out, surfaces within this isolated ocean of opinion.

Wake up. If your going to complain, at least do it comprehensively. Do it with empathy, because god knows, many of you keep missing that train.

Im glad someone is married to the idea, because then I could NOT have expectations for the game - since any Dick, Tom, or Harry's inflammatory opinion would carry weight.

Be thankful that MARK - acts as a proper counter weight as well. OH! and by the way, he is also married to an idea too, its just of a different focus than Johnathan. I wonder if any of you noticed that? Because he brings it up often.
How he feels about what balance is suppose to be? ringing any bells?

Now then. Im going to go sumbit a Feedback about How magma barrier can be used on bucklers, but doesnt scale with Armor AND evasion.

Here's hoping some of you develop empathy, wisdom and understanding - and the rest of us dont pay for those who dont.

Have a lovely day.

It's GGG's game.

You're giving feedback. That's it. If they don't accept it, or use it. Too bad.

That's the end of your interaction with the company.
Mark is such a huge W for this team. He really gets the major problems the players are facing, and he knows what it's not fun. He’s more than 100% committed to making a good experience for everyone by actually addressing the big issues the community’s been talking about. This guy is the definition of what every game dev should be!

Mark is our goat! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Johnathan is married to the idea in his head, but yeah gotta have some wiggle room for when the vision isn't working out as intended.
