Why does this feel like you have to be a Masochist to play.
Just play a strong build ffs. Every beginning is painful until you accumulate enough gear, so better start with something strong

What you are feeling is the Soul's-like part they added. I'm sure in a board meeting somewhere, someone pitched ARPG+Soul's-like using factual data and got a bunch of non-gamers thinking about BIG money.
What you are feeling is "Having to EARN it" |

Skill issue. I don't have issues. Im playing with my GF on a couch coop and we are goin smooth trough campain. If you strugling when a girl who doesn't play games doesn't strugle. That's your wrong understanding of the game or you are not audience/target - like should playing poe 1 or d4 or smh.

Posts like these where people just complain about difficulty should have to include their passives, skills, and gear so that other people can judge whether their complaints are real or just a bad build issue.
Impatience is insatiable.

as of 4/6/25 still too difficult for casual, older, and/or physically disabled players, IMO. Probably back to Last Epoch for me; I am physically incapable of dealing with these fights. There needs to be some sort of easier mod, or check points in fights (like in-between phases, if you die in P2 you do not have to do P1 over), or after the gauntlet in trials, if you die on boss you can go right back to boss fight, something for casuals, older gamers, people with physical limitations, IDK maybe people that just want to have FUN?!
This will allow people to still feel a sense of accomplishment, as they still have to pass each phase; and allow them time to learn the phases at their own pace. |

" "Play the class that works, not the one you want to play" is a terrible way for a game to be designed. Why have half a dozen or more classes if only 1 or 2 are viable? |

" I completely get your frustration as a physically disabled person myself. And i have checked some things in cruel after noticing that bosses where insanely fast and even healthy people will have trouble keeping up with the pace. Some reaction times required are far beyond the average human reaction times. Like ~100ms for audio queues (avarge for audio is ~170), ~180ms for some visuals (avarage is ~250) and those are conservative numbers since i started measuring right when a minions glow starts to ramp up, which is often impossible to notice in visual clutter. One of the many reasons why players prefer builds which oneshot bosses so they don't even have to deal with that. There are other issues like using the exact same audi queues for 2 completely different spells one where have to stay melee and one where you need to run away, both having the same sound. Yes they may have different voice lines but those come in way to late to recognize as well that's why there is this loud queue sound on heavy hitting boss abilities. Than there is no visual help for people with vision disabilities. Its something they should considering in 2025. |

This is not Dark Souls in Dark Souls if you killed the boss you got the loot. You kill a boss in POE 2 and you get a Blue Flask and 2 white items (that are not usable for your character). I can't wait to see what .3 is going to look like..
