Make 2 difficulty modes. One for the crybaby power fantasy players and one for real gamers
|
So basically, you want slow blasting with spam rolling in between. Nice.
No I said make a mode or ignore them, since its not about what i want. I didn't like poe. But the talk behind poe 2 was more towards what i wanted from a isometric arpg. Being harder and slower and more tactical and such. So why is that hard to understand. But like D4, there is a part of this arpg community that wants to change anything different into bad. If this was advertised like poe 1 I would have passed on it. So i am only defending what i feel is the right thing to do, rather than walk back on the direction and intent behind poe 2. Resident evil changed directions with resident evil 4 and again with 7, not every fan would and did like this change. But unlike this genre its not flip flopping on its direction becasue its not this online, live service model. Which i think is terrible for this genre and only fueling the non-sense and entitled videos and opinions about it online aka a circus show. Which i can ignore except when it influences and changes the game i picked up becasue i watched some trailers and such, ticked my boxes for games i currently enjoy, So i bought it. that is what i want, for the games to be as intended so i can make a choice if different is for me or if its time to play a different franchise or stick with old iterations. Simple. Anything else is a waste of time and nerd arguing over something that isn't worth my time. |

Well u know it's not fun to play when ur getting killed left and right ,mobs are moving whit the speed of light attacking like their are on steroids and I as a player can't even run away from a mobs because he's 100000 times faster and stun locks me every 0.1 sec
My Eva amazon died more then half of my 01 characters combines and she's is only in act 4 . Defenses are not working, run speed non exciting movement abilities even those that we have are useless and we have no dmg at all . So yeah many players are not happy whit this patch |

Making difficulty settings is a bad idea. It would actually split the player base, and degrade the quality of the game. From Software games don't implement them despite the cries for years from certain people for those reasons. There are many "easy" character builds already. The way to make it easy is to play the meta and OP builds. They aren't discovered in the first day usually. Some classes take more attention span than others to play, and that's ok. Those are your real difficulty settings.
Impatience is insatiable.

They don't need to make 2 difficulties, they have 2 games now.
The people who want to turn their brain off and pretend their 0-1 button builds are game play have POE1(and D3, D4, LE, Vampire Survivors). The people who want to interact with a video game and get challenged have POE2. " Yeah, it's really sad what this genre de-evolved into. it was never supposed to be this - even the creator of the genre said he's disappointed in how the games are in an interview! That's very telling. Last edited by ShiyoKozuki#4168 on Apr 6, 2025, 1:10:26 AM

" This, this and this. Sorry if you want "Turn your brain off and hit one button to clear room after room" then there's the door to 100 other ARPGS. This game looked appealing because it was doing something different with it's bosses and mobs that actually required train of thought and skill. Keep to your vision GG and don't let this game devolve just because the whiners don't want to put in effort to killing a boss. This game is great and I'm having a ton of fun. |

" I think those complaints are poorly worded. Many people have articulated the problems much better. It boils down to player level got nerfed into oblivion while monsters can still swarm and have way more movement speed. At the same time we are supposed to slow down and engage using combos. The problem is that they have POE1 zoomer style mobs while trying to balance towards a completely slower and more methodical playstyle. They seem to think they can just rely on the public to work out the kinks without considering the fact that people who put money and time into their game don't want to be treated like beta testers so they can save a buck while double dipping in profits. This is probably why most people are pissed off. If they didn't charge $30 for EA on a "free to play" game, while charging for stash tabs, and not offering free respects and ascendency changes, then maybe players would be more forgiving. You can't have your cake and eat it to. People defending them using the argument "they need their data" should also be asking why respects aren't free and as esendencies are locked. " There's not a single, solitary ARPG in the history of the genre that's been "slower and more tactical". The very idea of the genre, being an ACTION game, precludes the notion of being "tactical". There's nothing "tactical" about dodging dozens of nearly 1-shot mechanics just to do 50 damage and spending 10 minutes doing it. |
|
" That's fine, but mark my words, GGG has two options. Bring it in line with other ARPG's where we blast screens full of monsters, get loot, get stronger and blast screens full of stronger monsters... OR Watch this game end up with fewer players than POE1, D4, LE, etc. |

Simple. Anything else is a waste of time and nerd arguing over something that isn't worth my time.
Not reading all that yap. PoE 2 is an easy game. It's simply boring to play and unrewarding, and the deaths you do take often feel like unfair BS. People taking your stance are all just accepting "every monster's hp is doubled" level difficulty types which are objectively less interesting then real difficulty. Rolling backwards 5 times per pack isn't hard. It's just uninteresting. Let alone walking back with no dashes. | |
" OR They can make a game with elements of both, and it can be fun and enjoyable. Just because they have a rough draft that doesn't quite mesh well, doesn't mean they can't. Lets see if they can actually make a good game. I'm willing to give it a chance and to stop expecting it to be PoE 1. The only thing I hate about PoE is that there are a lot of aspects that are designed to waste your time. If they fix that in PoE 2, even if it takes them a few months, or even a year. I'll play. But PoE 1 is full of them, and it turns me off the game so much. Don't care if it's difficult and challenging, or if it's an easy brainless game like vampire survivors, I love both. Will see where they end up. Last edited by Akedomo#3573 on Apr 6, 2025, 2:27:18 AM
