Melee isn't fun, Game isn't fun anymore?
I am stuck in Act 1 on Count Boss with my melee build. There isn't enough time between his AOE/wipe phases for me to land melee attacks most of the time. I have to dodge several rounds of attacks before I even have a chance to land 2 hits. Is this game not supposed to be fun anymore? I loved 0.1 and I am wondering if that state of the game was not the goal? Sure, some builds were busted. But I play games to have fun, not be miserable and optimize everything to inch forward. That's real life bro, I have plenty of that.

Skill issue and I'm not even kidding. Melee was fixed like three days after 0.1 release when they reduced character collision.

" "fixed" - still locked in place when attacking - still have added attack time on top of reduced attack speed everywhere - still must rely on giant's blood because 1h do zdps - still no defensive mechanics beyond block - still getting pushed from place to place which f***s up the autoaim - AND they nerfed both bossing abilities into oblivion |

" Yeah, some skills require standing (auto attack), others involve movement (rolling slam) and others let you choose whether you want to stand still or not (hammer of the gods). There are nodes to raise your attack speed as well as support gems (two that I know for now). You are meant to use them. Don't know about the necessity of using Giants Blood because I always use it by default, why wouldn't you? What's the issue with defensive mechanics? You can block, parry, dodge or raise your passive defenses and HP, as well as stunning enemies. I don't know what you mean with auto aim. What bossing abilities are you talking about? Hammer of the Gods and what else? Btw saying HotG was nerfed into oblivion is a huge overstatement, you have to use it twice or three times instead of just once to kill the boss, which is kinda the point of a challenge. I'm murdering half of every boss HP with two perfect strikes after stun by the way. |

I don't share your vision, at all, that auto attack feels bad because you can't move.
So you can raise your attack speed or not? Regardless of that, it's the intended speed for the slowest melee weapon of the game. Maybe when they release swords or axes you'll have more fun. " It's not "my vision", it's the vision shared by most melee players. Hell even from "realism" pespective it makes zero sense that an archer can move while attacking but a melee character cannot. Just because i "can raise my attack speed" doesn't mean attack speed is any good. Almost all damage nodes come with reduced attack speed for some stupid reason. |

" They are highlighting a design flaw in early leveling. There should be no build in act 1 that can't be efficient in moving around or attacking. How powerful they are or how skilled the player is comes after that. It's impossible for it to be a skill issue that early in the game, there are developer or design decisions that aren't good and need changed. |
