Huntress Spear Skills Feedback: (GGG Still fails Melee)

So I wanted to play huntress spear skills. Let me give you a TLDR. Whirlwind is interesting but slow to charge. Tornados are more random than spark, might as well just play spark. Parry is garbage, Disengage is garbage. Ranged again .. but then you might as well play bow.

Granted I am low level still but this is the initial feedback is that as a huntress. There are synergies in the skills. Charge up whirlwind then disengage to jump out and get a frenzy charge, then throw an empowerd spear to get a flaming field (the hit damage is weak, its only the field) then whirlwind in the field.

TOO COMPLEX when you have 40 mobs coming at you wanting to gang R*** you. I can kill king of rust with a warrior without being touched. Took me 3 tries on huntress. The damage of whirlwind is only worth anything with a three stage whirlwind when you jump out. So Cast, Cast, Cast, Hold parry, wait to parry, disengage, whirlwind collapses. Unfeasible in the fast moving POE.

Thrown spear is weak damage, empowered spear is weak damage (only getting burning ground) Thrown lightning spear is ok damage.

Any of the point blank melee skills are useless. In stabby range you are standing right in degen puddles you cant see and you need to parry THAT mob to freeze them. Its not enough to have a frenzy charge, you have to parry that specific mob then stab them.

So far, only up to tier 3 skills, this is certainly not viable and maybe best to level with some bow skills then do huntress and that is ... a weak class.

Active block is total trash and doesn't work at all. It makes no sense in the context of the game in nearly any scenario. In like 0.01% of cases you can block a boss attack kind of but you're nearly ALWAYS better off just attacking while relying on recovery or flask, or rolling.

Again GGG messed up melee. I am in grim tangle at level 5 and I am getting drained in 5 seconds with degen pools but if you are melee you have to be close. With warrior you have to beat, stun, shockwave. BUt huntress needs a 14 part program to do the same. Its non functonal.

And to address the "whirlwind tornado and forget other skills" crowd then my wanswer to them is just remove the other skills from the game then. Why bother. Make huntress have onyl whirlwind and tonado. Now I need to farm skill gems, maybe thrown spear works?

If your game has MASS mobs that can outrun you, gang you pin you and your melee is garbage then the ONLY viable builds will be blasters and minions. So ... they did it again.

I used about 2/3rds of the time the ranged skills. Normal throw, and electric spear (whatever it is called) are fundamental to avoid the enemies that are difficult up close. Spears are a mixed weapon for a reason. Tornadoes are good in close quarters because they bounce around and hit multiple times, avoid them in open spaces. Add martial tempo to a ranged skill to span from a distance, especially lightning to cover groups of enemies. Kill rares and bosses with whirlwind combos, don't bother charging it up 3 times, just once and jump out and spear bomb. Add the stun resistance support to parry as soon as you can. I've been hopping the support that's strong against bleed on several skills after getting the bleed attack skill. It's fine. You just need to play Huntress like its own class and not like a Warrior.

And if you are playing ranged, go Ranger bow and blow up the map. Spear is pointless.
So you failed 3 times on a guy as easy as long of rust, meanwhile I one attempted him and he got mayyyyybe 2 abilities off. Something tells me that MASSIVE discrepancy in damage has more to do with the player than the class.
Got to lvl 40+ whit a spear and it sucks
Melle is bad , ranged skills are weak and u can't use "combos" on a controller wbecause u can't target where the spear will land .
My take on spears , if ur using a controller don't even try spear.
It's like the devs completely ignored that the weapon suposed to function whit a controller aswell.
Playing on Xbox so obviously on a controller, and so far enjoying huntress more than monk in 0.1.0
No idea why people think huntress is bad?

You are using the wrong skills, simple as that sorry.
I understand why as I also started with the same skills and had a terrible time. Then I figured out the class, changed skills and got to act 2 without dying again ;)
