I logged in only to say: thank you GGG!

Patch, despite nerf fest, looks icreadibly good. I guess that it would bring us closer to the GGG`s vision of PoE2, something completely different from PoE1, what bought me from the first look into it.

For me it`s a massive win, I feel very hyped for possibilities to work with new builds, even though they wont be one-tap builds.

The game hasn't technically released yet, so re-imagining everything is fair.

I just wanted to say the obvious and share that it doesn't feel nice and fuzzy, reading about your favorite potentials, and seeing

Hey everyone! What do you think of this hypothesis:

I m not saying this in a bad light, but I think GGG intentionally nerfed almost every skill, support skill and passives including even the bad ones(explosive grandes, flameblast,...) in order to avoid any potential broken builds in the future. This is like a precaution step they deliberately took against the community's future discoveries to avoid any more rebalanes or backlash.

I nether agree nor disagree with them, because I don't have an idea about the best course. They said they want their game to be hard. We just have to wait, test and see the outcome of their visions.

Let's keep high hopes until proven otherwise.

Anyway i prefer they do such patches in EA to tune things to perfection than to be overconservative because their player base wants to play the same build all over again while again in EARLY ACCESS.

Well to be honest, they HAD to do something about the 20mil+ dps builds, so maybe this was the only way; to crash and burn everything now, so that things can go better in the future.

It's just weird to see nerfs in something like Arc, which didn't really even work at basic citadel bosses (and it was too slow for hordes of mobs coming out of breaches). Unless you went similar to the basic archmage/MoM spark build, in which case you would be better off just playing that anyway.

Also if monster density and speed is not drastically lowered, I'm having hard time seeing how anyone can survive anything now, and that was already problem with all builds being glass cannon builds. Now everything will be more glass and less cannon.

20mil lol? who cares about these insignificant puny builds? there are INFINITE dps builds, doing BILLIONS of dps, with bugged interactions when the frost walls were treated as ENEMIES and MONSTERS and wall destruction was triggerign monster ON DEATH effects, and then wall explosions were buffing each other to infinity with just 1ex boots... killing pinnacle bosses in 1s.

these nerfes are not strong enough to address some meta builds, like spark is still gonna be OP


OK maybe I should've said 20bil, I know there are builds where the dps indicator wraps and shows negative values. Meanwhile vast majority of builds/skills struggle to even do 50-100k, and now their answer is to release 100 more gems to make sure that they can't ever make any sort of balance.
