POE2 IS WAY TO DIFFICULT

Just follow a build This game can not be played by making your own build.
Search the net for a good build and then follow it. GGG wants it that way and designed the game that way. POE1 is like that and POE2 is no different.

Respectfully im sick of poe2. I understand that it's meant to be harder than poe1 and different but being body blocked by enemies, being 1 shot by normal mobs, being animation locked into abilities and not able to dodge out of mechanics, not receiving any rewarding gear that makes me think about my build and choices during gameplay etc. I by no means claim to be a great poe player but I have yet to get past lvl 32 on any character because it is that dreadful trying to progress. There are bosses in game that I couldn't even beat because they continued to one shot me even while I was over leveled then them so I had to get a buddy to carry me through it. I like the bosses, I like the story, I love poe1 and wanted harder content but poe 2 isn't it for me I would rather play any of the diablo games than poe 2. There is no reason for the difficulty to be this extreme so early on. The only time I have any enjoyment is playing my witch and all I do is hold block with a shield and let my minions kills the enemies because I truly can't survive. I'm not getting better gear and all I have access to is the npc shops because the AH is locked behind story progression THAT I CANT GET PASSED! I have friends that could only progress by finding random groups of four people and even then it took hundreds of hours to get a build to a point where he could solo story content that fit with his level. I love GGG I think they are great and very transparent with information and truly care about the community and the game but I'm not having fun and new friends that I get to play poe2 quite after a few hours because of early game difficulty as well. We can't even experience the story or experience your end game contenybecause the difficulty through acts 1 - 3 are so punishing that wether it's us playing solo or together qe are being constantly killed and even one shot. Oh another thing why does reviving a teammate take so long I have fought multiple bosses with a friend of mine where he died and everything that hits me constantly interrupts the revive and it takes so long that in every single boss we have fought I have to try and solo group content or just die and reset. The game isn't fun at all it's to hard and it's not rewarding for the time and effort qe put into trying to play a game. I REALLY HOPE GGG READS THIS because I do like the game, truly, but it's not new player friendly and it's way to difficult. I left poe 1 because I was one shotting everything the whole game and it became boring to me but this game difficulty is yo far in the opposite direction and as a new player id like to be able to enjoy this game.i just saw the new update with the huntress but I'm not sure I even want to try to play her because it will just become another character I can't progress on. Thank you so much to anyone that reads this I know it was a lot but these are all my personal thoughts and feelings on the game.

Bro i just woke up and found this gem, is that you?

It's difficult?

Well I guess it's a subjective experience after all. Outside of having played a few Diablo games for a very short amount of time... I normally don't play these types of games. I found POE2 to be rather simplistic... and the only "difficult" thing about it was the amount of my time it used up as I kept playing different build variations and wanted to play each experiment from level 1 up...

A few decades ago your average game was harder than this. Along with the fact that before a certain time there wasn't any place to go find out anything. Because outside of whatever was connected to your local GTE Telenet pop there wasn't any place you could go look up any information. Or your monthly gaming magazine... although you could still find the original Zork on a few college main frames.

No. Not true at all. People are lazy. They dont want to learn mechnics. They love youtubers. They want to be like them. This is 2025. GGG has a win win with streamers. The community is the cash cow. But its their responsibility. Dont let anybody fool yourself. Make up your mind, learn how to play. Just easy like that, but nobody wants to.

This is nonsense. I haven't played PoE 1 and only used my own builds in PoE 2. Every single one of them worked well. There is only one way you can fail to get a working build together: lack of thinking on your own.

This is one of the chief reasons behind players complaining about nerfs. They just nerfed the *entire* meta. IMO they should either not nerf the entire meta, or make respecs much, much cheaper to allow for experimentation.

All due respect but you didn't read any of my posts. For you to sit here and say that I'm just some random person who's never played a dungeon looter game and havnt played poe is absolutely wrong. On top of that my points still havmt been addressed. Every single person who responded including yourself basically said "if you don't like it then leave". I know about following build guides and comboing abilities for max dps etc im not some new player that played for 10 minutes didn't like it then ran to the forums. Like I've said many times before and will repeat myself one last time. Melee combat feels like trash. Ability animations are to long, the enemies do to much damage, you have almost zero survivability as you level up due to poor loot drops and among other things that I've listed in other posts unlike with poe 1 or even with the diablo games I have to do so many guide searches, boss guides and leveling bathing before I even get to level 5 because of how hard it is for melee. Listen if you leveled up a melee characters congrats but were you able to kill the campaign enemies with any of your characters abilities? I mean that as if I am just building raw damage and not specializing anything why cant I kill white named enemies even moderately well with any Ability? I mean you say look up build guides but in my opinion it's the campaign right so why isn't the campaign easier for players to get through so they can have fun and experiment with builds themselves. Everything is locked behind story progression and the game doesn't give you enough resources as a solo player to overcome said challenges. That has been my experience so far on poe2. To give you an example I was playing with a friend of mine because he newly hoped on the game and we got stuck on a boss in Act 1 so I told him I would switch to my lvl 28 monk to burst it down so qe could progress. Now I know what your thinking "oh he had downscale on"...actually I turned it off for this one encounter. I have uniques and was fully geared in lvl 28 items and even with downscaling turned off due to the increased health the boss got with 2 players there on top of his already existing damage I as a level 28 monk could barely and I mean barely beat a lvl 10 boss in the cemetery. I went through all my potions and still nearly died. The point im trying to make is that if I am having that much difficulties despite being almost 20 levels higher how can GGG and the community expect new players who have zero experience with these games to feel. I even spent real life money to buy currencies so I could start crafting my items a bit with new stats. I have no issues with the game being harder than poe 1 as a matter of fact I wanted a more challenging version of poe 1 but this to me isn't poe it feels like I'm playing dark souls or elden ring and the animations are not good enough for that style of game play. I know it's early but first impressions matter and my main issue with the game is that the characters that I want to play feel like shit so until I see improvements in those areas and I mean massive improvements I won't be back. There's no reason for a witch or a sorcerer to be able to burst enemies down as fast as they do yet with melee its a different story. Go watch some act 1 play through and you will see that melee characters hit just as hard as 1 witch minion and it's absolutely sad. Like I said I won't be back unless they massively overhaul the game so until then you all enjoy!

I say this with all due respect, is your Enter key broken? I'll start a go fund me if it is. I'm here for you.

I’m not an elite player, I started a new character yesterday and had to realize that the bosses are extremely simplified compared to the EA launch. For the 3 bosses at the cemetery, it took me 3-4 days back then, but yesterday I only needed 30 minutes and that without dying.

GGG has really simplified the game a lot.

The bosses did not even change.. just that you internalized the mentaility of avoiding getting hit by attacks instead of face tanking as we all came into POE2 from POE1.
Are you playing SSF? If so, stop. Unless you're an absolute degenerate, SSF is a waste of time.

The game is completely trivialized by trading. A week into the league you can max out your resists at a very low level with just a few exalts to trade. Then the game becomes much easier.

Get yourself a good weapon for a few exalts. Max out resists. Breeze through.
