Endgame punishment actively motivates to quit the game.

Especially when, in order to get to said map tiers, you have to transmute all of the lower level maps that drop to get up to the current level your running. I apologize if the game's RNG doesn't give my gear perfect rolls on all of the perfect stats in order to progress to the next level of map, which is still supposedly 8 levels below my character's level.

You def do something wrong here, maybe way to strict filter?

Because I get at least 3 simular or even higher tier waystones out of every map and without heavely investing into waytone drops in the Atlas Passive tree.

Even in T15 I get at least 2 T15 waystone but mostly 3-4....so either you lie here to us or your filter doesen't display waystones at all.

But lets pretend that you're so unlucky that you haven't dropped 1 higer waystone in 10 runs....they're super cheap to buy on the marker and 1 T14 waystone costs 1 Ex. ^^

Well from the ladder, it surely did actively motivate 18 people to reach level 100 which is a really good number of top ladder players btw, and 1000+ people to reach level 98.

You can't really compare people who play the game for a living to the rest of us and pretend the motivation comes from the punishment...

Edited: Also the resident gaslighter in chief who keeps attacking every single hint of criticism is getting old.

If you can’t process the idea that it’s the player that’s improving not your characters in Poe, then you’re really too too too far away. The level means nothing.

If you are already mentally broken down at 80ish or before 90 or 91, giving you level 100 means nothing. You will still be dying as much as you were in level 90.
Then stop dying

Evasion doesn't stop you from being one shoted. Life, Armor, Energy Shield, and other forms of EHP or damage mitigation do. Try that.

The problem is the access to beneficial gear.

Up until around T4-5 maps you get a steady supply of gear from vendors which might be of use to you. After that the gear they stock doesn’t really improve in a way that is enough to significantly boost your character to be progress it further.

This coupled with the lack of merchant restocks since levelling is much slower means that you hit a wall around level 80 if your character can’t survive well.

Yesterday I played for 10 or so hours and I increased my experience bar by 10% thanks to dying so frequently.

Things like the priest of the suns beams and overtuned white mobs oneshotting are a definite problem.

In addition the dropped loot that you get in mid endgame is not good enough in my personal opinion. I am a Witchhunter using double crossbows. One of my crossbows is a level 59 item and despite picking up and basic crafting every crossbow i see its still my best option at level 83.

I have reset my passive tree and xbow skills multiple times every day over the last two weeks but its incredibly frustrating as a non gemling stat stacker merc because you can either choose to try and build defences (merc is furthest from energy shield nodes) or you can build dps and die to any attack lol.

The people who day this is a skill issue are only partially correct. Yes theres a number of deaths I probably could have avoided however until you try playing a witchhunter with xbows then your opinions are skewed.

Also i have never used trade since it is too inaccessible. So people saying just buy better gear have to understand that that is impossible lol. If you play the game solo thrn you likely dont have a ton of orbs since you have been crafting.

I think that its a tuning issue specific to endgame however. Basically i dont think the meaningful gear ratio to monster difficulty is where it needs to be. Especially if you are playing without using trade.

I do agree that there's balance issue, experienced it myself playing multiple class and some are definitly more efficient or enjoyable to play than others. So while the balance is off i play the one that i enjoyed the most obv. But this has nothing to do with penality on death.

Trade maybe tedious but it is totaly fonctional once you get use to it you can trade just fine. I c

I'm also losing the fun of the game. I'm now level 86 with my witch and I have the problem that I could run T15+2 maps and can do some of them.

But it just happens a lot that I get knocked out. Especially when there are a lot of mobs and they hit me, it's as if my character is stuck in stunlock and I can't even dodge roll. This makes the breach mechanic really difficult for me.

The next problem for me is that I only very rarely find upgrades for my character even though he's still really poorly equipped. You don't have much choice because you constantly have to pay attention to the resistance cap and you also have to meet all the stat requirements. Practically every item has to have resistances and + to several attributes. But then as a witch I also need spirit and +level on minion skills.

Some high-end players are running around with 10k energy shield and 600+ spirit, but I only get 5.8k energy shield and not even 300 spirit.

And you don't even need to try trading for upgrades because most offers are scams or nobody answers anyway.

I don't use item filters.
