A Guy posted a good solution for this, just make people use Divines, the problem right now is no one is using divines, if instead of randomizing the numbers of the gear it changes its attributes tiers(with the higher the tier of the Gear higher the chance of getting 'high' tiers) this would make people try to use divines, even with this much inflation people are still not using divines, this show how 'useless' beside currency divines become.

says who?

I used like 50 divs on my items

Me too, but this doesn't mean that there isn't any issue. Is it because divs are not used ? I don't know, I would say likely not imo.

I can 100% assure you that I made far many more divines by not playing the game but the market in the past few days. Up to a point where it felt I was actually losing time by playing the game. This is an issue for me.

So not just the one account controlling the market then

If your goal in game is to get the most currency, then playing the market is one way to achieve that. Mine's not to treat the game like a second job.

It's like that couple of days in settlers where the most lucrative way to earn currency was to endlessly buy chisels off Kirac: tedious, sure, but some people did it, until eventually the price of chisels normalised and it was no longer worth doing. The reason it happened is because chisels were in high demand and the supply wasn't immediately obvious to a lot of people, so the middlemen took over for a bit.

No, not just the one controlling the market.

My goal is not to get the most currency, my goal is to get enough currency so that I can run all the experiments I want to run. Given the state of the current economy, it is not possible if not playing the market. This is hugely unfun for me.
Capitalism is as far away from time == money as there is to get in any economic system

The economy is screwed this season, has been since early on, there were too many exploits that were not reset, and not enough ways to earn currency to normalise the trade site for most players.

This will ease with time, which comes in the form of economy resets, the economy here is not like any single player game where three turnips will buy you one loaf of bread

Depending on where you are in the system, it absolutely is. Not all time is priced equally though, but this is another debate.

This did not ease in 10 years of POE1, it did not ease in the real world economy in whatever time you want to to take as a reference, I don't expect time to ease anything here either.

The only thing that make have any actual ease factor is the evolution of the rules, and therefore regulations.

The economy is bad. No, the economy is absolutely atrocious as it was in the first opus. And the reason for this is that it is unregulated. You copied the real world economy and therefore you got the exact same glaring issues : wealth is very concentrated in the hands of very few people and that give them the control over the whole economy.

You make it sound like this is new to you. It was clear from December 6th that this would happen.
If you played thinking that anything has value, that's your problem.
On Probation Any%

This isn't new to me. This is why I want a systemic change. This is why I wanted a systemic change in POE 1 as well.

You're arguing against your own point a bit I think by raising the analogy though. "Where you are in the system", if you're at the bottom, you're sifting litter off the floor looking for anything of value. If you're at the top, you're exploiting other people's time for profit.

I think the PoE market is unfettered capitalism (outside of exploits and cheating, which is a whole different topic)

As to whether it should be? Every MMO economy I can think of uses a free market, some have taxes, but I can't think of any where they've controlled the market through game mechanics, other than fiddling with supply (which PoE has been known to do)

I'm sure there are I haven't played every single one, but the most successful ones don't
So if this is not real economy and a large majority prefer to buy from bots, then why not have a trade house where you just buy stuff that is offered for sale? Bonus points if you obfuscicate both sides of the transaction enough to make RMT 99.99999% impossible?
This is an equity vs equality argument.

You want equity. Equal outcome regardless of input. SOCIALISM.

I want Equality. Where everyone has the same chances and rights.

Why not just put a cap on loot?

After 1 hour you no longer get loot. This means nobody can get ahead and we are all stuck at the bottom.

Cap on loot? So you want GGG to kick their players out of the game if they play it too long? Seems self-defeating.

As best I can tell this game has 2 primary ways of making money. 1) Whales buying cosmetics. 2) The entire player base having to buy stash tabs to be a part of the economy.

The first happens in all these games while the 2nd is a new way of charging people $30 for a game, but after they have already installed and played. It's basically layaway for a video game.

Edit: oh, sarcasm. I failed reading comprehension.
