Bosses need to REMAIN on the map if you die. Awful design esp for SSF

Listen... bosses are the best part of the game and it makes no sense to PUNISH players who choose to play legit and not trade for the best gear by removing bosses from a map if you fail the map the first time around.

This is just a real feel bad type of design and here I am... with my own self found and self crafted gear.... not being able to face bosses in many cases because oops.... i dared to play in a legitimate fashion and died on my way there.

Players who are SSF or self imposed SSF shouldn't have to suffer on account of these horrible design decisions.

There should be optional bosses on EVERY MAP imo. Why limit the best content? Maps as they stand are a pretty generic poe1 style experience and a stark contrast from the fantastic campaign. So it makes no sense to make maps even worse by making bosses scarce or to be removed upon death.

Just don't... die?
Imagine designing a game and saying "the punishment for failure will be that we will literally change maps in the game to make them less fun for you until you progress".

You're acting like you're required to die.

I'm on SSF, and if I know the map is going to have a more rippy boss than usual, I run that map only with safe mods or alternatively couple of tiers lower so the damage mods don't hurt as much. Haven't died to a standard map boss since last year.

No, I think they should make it so that if you die your character gets locked and you can only unlock it if you prove yourself in a special punch-only arena fight vs a massive level 100 zombie with extra life.

Yeah! Do it for Hardcore! Instead of perma removal from HC let player fight thru purgatory on every death 😬
I can accept losing one of the icons at random each time the map is failed.
Ok, so I enter map, rush to the boss without killing all rares (or leave at least 1 alive), kill it, portal out and open the same map again. You solution to this exploit? I didn't even have to think, it's the obvious consequence from keeping mechanics on death.

A problem created in PoE2 and not present in PoE1 by their voluntary choice of this particular atlas mechanic.
