Yes, GGG pays Kripp to stream. Also Chris added IIQ and IIR for Kripp's account permanently, that's why Kripp wins every race. Confirmed on stream.

I think this is a bloody stupid thread but it's not breaking any rules, so let's at least keep it on-topic: why/why not give Kripparrian a unique of his own because he's made the company over $1000.

Firstly, we need to establish if that is true. Is it true that Kripparrian has 'made' the company that much money?

It is. That I can confirm. The weekend he first streamed PoE and the week following, during the closed beta, support package sales shot through the roof. That said, I am sure this is no different than Oprah endorsing a shitty book and it turning into some crazy best seller yes looking at you Fifty Shades of Shit. Not that I've read those, but I don't think the author then went and put an Oprah reference in any of the subsequent books.

That's essentially what the OP is asking for, and it's ridiculous.

Newsflash: *I* have made this company more than a thousand dollars by way of buying people keys during the CB and them, in turn, then supporting far higher than the cost of the package. Do you see me getting a free unique?

People got up in arms when GGG 'gave' Kripparrian a Silver Kiwi as thanks for his involvement and 'work' -- and rightfully so. Kripparrian is self-serving and merely doing his job. There was no 'collaboration' between GGG and Kripparrian when Kripp blatantly released *alpha patch notes* which would have gotten anyone else kicked from alpha instantly. You haven't seen him stream alpha since, have you? I don't know if he's still an alpha tester and I don't really care. Fact is, there have been times when GGG and Kripparrian have definitely not had the same interests at heart. Kripp is a sensationalist and a celebrity. He's charismatic, intelligent and extremely good at what he does. He is an excellent tool for widespread exposure but I think, since he is a gamer at heart, he wouldn't just take a wad of cash to play some piece of shit. Whatever he plays, it has to appeal to him; he has to be able to apply his analytical skills to it and see its 'depth' if you will. That is what Kripparrian does, and obviously people soak that shit up.

So what he does not do is 'sell games' deliberately.

People showing interest and thus 'supporting' these games are *byproducts* of his involvement and interest. The same can be said of what I did. Whether you're looking at Kripparrian's streaming of this game (which I am sure he did purely out of interest and probably some pressure from the Krippites...what do we call Kripp fans anyway? Krippies?) or my sharing of keys -- the result is the same. I was doing 'my job' as I saw it: get more people into PoE (and in my case, that involved increments of $10, gambling that the people I 'keyed' would go on to support for themselves) in the hopes that the game would get all the help and interest it needed to survive. Kripp is doing his job: garner lots of viewers and remain the 'top dog'.

There is no need for GGG to 'reward' either of us. Kripp's getting paid to do it by someone/thing other than GGG (this is his job, isn't it?) and I got what I wanted: many of the people I got into the game went on to support, and the game received that little bit extra funding.

There is no doubt that Kripparrian is the most famous person in the PoE world. None whatsoever.

That is reward enough.
