Everything is so locked down, I can't make my own build
My initial plan in the days before PoE2 launched was to play an Arc build.
My backup plan was to play an EDC build. lols both absolutely appalling in PoE2, close to unplayable as far as I can tell. After getting a Minion Infernalist to 85 and abandoning it I'm now blasting through endgame content with a lvl 95 Herald Evoker. While it's great, I'd like to try some other stuff. The issue is a sizable chunk of the skills available are just trash with lacklustre scaling or that rely on some "broken" interaction or very specific/expensive/high level uniques to be viable. Build diversity is weak af and while thats likely to change with more skills coming into the game many of the existing ones are just unviable. |

The solution to the build problems is simple add more types of items .
Maybe legendary , or set items , call them whatever you like . Maybe some of them interact with specific underperforming skills . adding power to them in an interesting way. oh that idk spell " call spider " no one is using ? well add an item , that makes the spider spread poison and enrage on bosses. add legendary items just as rare as mirrors , and make them types that are underplayed , lets say crossbow , make the item OP in every possible way. so when a lucky crossbow player that has been underperforming for the last 3 months finds it , he can feel strong like the best builds out there . you know stuff like that , idk why GGG is sooooo scared to add fun stuff to the game . its a power fantasy , people will always figure out ways to make broken stuff. |
