PoE 2 is NOT destroying my PC hardware (FIXED)
" Psh, don't even for a second try to blame this on Microsoft. This issue is POE and the only game I've ever played that ever had an issue like this. Its also insane that they still haven't done anything about it. |

" Kind of no getting around it looking like Microsoft's fault given the window manager crash looks like a fullscreen optimization DXGI flip model fault. Try using special K or something to force flip sequential or another presentation model. Also, how many monitors/displays are you using? Last edited by Danzen#3776 on Jan 16, 2025, 8:34:20 PM

Must be a issue with the 7800x3d still. I have the 7900xtx GPU paired with it and POE2 is unplayable for me. Frame rate hits max of like 20. When every other game runs 150 plus FPS. Sad to see devs arent in a hurry to fix despite many people expressing frustration on spending $30 and feeling ignored. I agree other game items are important but with many not even able to play the game, it should be prioritized.

It is still crashing for me after patch as well. This is not a Win 24H2 issue. This is happening to people playing on Linux, people with NVIDIA cards, AMD cards, its something that they apparently had going on in POe1 and never really found a fix.
i7 10700k 32GB RAM RTX 3080 FTW III 1 TB M.2 I can play ANY game at ultra settings but this one seems to crash on load. Something in the code sucking up cores on the CPU. |

do NOT let the devs fool you into thinking this issue is a windows issue. 5 of my friendgroup who play, all crash. all different cards, nvidia/amd all diff types, diff cpu's, diff versions of windows, one of us even runs on linux ffs.
this is a POE 2 issue and GGG are hiding behind the microsoft update because it sounds better than "we don't know how we fucked up and we don't know how to fix it" they got a shitload of the diags, should be easy enough to find the pattern, and an issue this severe should have all hands on deck until its fucking fixed. not put what seems to be 2 guys to try and figure this shit out, nearing on 3 months of an unplayable fucking mess and i can't refund, can't do shit. I didn't want to, but i'm going to, i'm charging back the purchase of this fucking game, you cunts at GGG can eat my fucking chargeback fee. i won't be returning if this is how you're going to be acting moving forward, and notice, zero mention of compensation to all of us effected who cannot fucking play. thanks for stealing $40 off me GGG. FUck you, i'll be getting that back real soon, about to call the bank and tell them i was sold a scam. and when i get refunded and you're hit with that chargeback fee, i hope theres 100,000 more behind it and any money you made from this bullshit early access period, is eaten by those fuckin chargeback fees. |

I fully agree with you and feel like we can't express our frustration without everyone kissing GGG's ass and saying its EA. Yeah we get its EA but they charged money and sold a nonworking game.
It works most of the time with POEuncrasher but honestly its sketchy using it and also affects performance. Also, if they can "fix" it, GGG can't? Yeah Ok. They don't even care they are too busy making patch changes that only matter to like 1% of players. If it has anything to do with windows, I really don't care but since POE uncrasher works I doubt that. And since NOTHING else does this it looks like its POE to me. I can't wait until someones hardware actually does get messed up and they sue the F out of them. Last edited by JakeBaconDigial#3378 on Jan 17, 2025, 4:37:37 PM

Hey everyone, here's an update on my issue.
I finally (after a month) experienced the crash during a DIFFERENT game. After inspecting the 4090, I found one of the 12-pin cables had slid slightly out of the plastic connector enough to not make a solid connection with the GPU, causing the GPU to crash under significant load. The reason why i hadn't seen this on different games was likely for two reasons. One, I play a ton of PoE2 and two, i don't think there was enough of a power demand on the other games to trigger a crash. FALSE alarm for PoE2! I know a lot of people have crashing related issues and I hope if they're related they get resolved ASAP, but for this issue, it was NOT Path of Exile! With 4000 hours in Path of Exile, I've never known GGG to ignore a serious issue like this, so I'm glad it really had nothing to do with the game! Thanks everyone for helping!
