I do report them because it's annoying as hell. putting them on ignore does nothing as its a new bot every time, I can remove whispers from my chat window but i still get the *pings*, and then have to check if its a friend whispering me or a bot- 98% of the time its a bot. Okay its getting even more ridiculous. When logging in, before the loading screen goes away i can already hear the whisper ping sounds.

Got tired of running maps and went back to make a new character.
First message I get in town after Miller is from multiple currency spammer on whisper. Welcome to the Path of Exiles 2 player experience. How many bots are there? jeez |

" Crazy how many bots are in game when it's 30$. Shows they are making TONS off RMT. Cause GGG won't improve trade 12 years later. What would be nice is if there was a way to Ignore Account instead of Ignore Player, and make it a silent ignore so that they don't get any kind of response when they whisper someone who has ignored them.
