Update: Better Wait for Next EA League to see major changes

Well the obvious point of early access was to sell early access keys for up to 480 dollars.
I mean come on, what kind of question is that lul
Because implementing drastic changes without it being fresh wouldn't give the data needed..... You need to know how things work throughout the entire game not just endgame with amazing gear and tons of currency to play with. Like if they gave us the rest of the classes without a fresh start who wouldn't use items and currency they have to get them to endgame fast as possible???? The campaign would be a joke and you'd be done it in like 5-10 hours depending how much you skipped probably like 2 hours if you had someone with all the wp just run you thru and kill everything.
They said they were waiting for their next "league" patch in the stream to do big balance changes, not sure what the changes they'll implement at that point will be though.
It sounds like we may be getting significant content updates then too, maybe druid and huntress. Hopefully that's in a month or so or less, it sounded like they were working on it pretty hard in the background.

Also, it'd be nice if some people didn't one sidedly proclaim that their different vision for PoE2 is unfun and unwanted, I wouldn't have came back to play it or enjoyed it if it was the same as current trade league PoE1.
If everything in the game was like the pace of acts 1-3 when it's done I'd be pretty happy with PoE2, I know that's probably not a popular opinion on these forums but PoE1 still exists for those players who prefer that game's pace.

if you watch the Q&A they explained there is a full balance patch coming later with a new league. thats where all the balance changes are happening.

Srsly the list is pretty much what you get on a full release

The new league start on official release, which more likely filled with even more problem due to untested/last minute implemented feature.

Meanwhile we already have slight change in gameplay flow between early and endgame, plenty of skill, passives, gear that's too strong or useless. Stat like armor that just doesn't work at all, and all of this is pretty much half of the total content this game has.

"

they probably have as much data as they need from this league to inform the next set of changes which will require a full new league to really get good data from. so why upset people by destroying their builds theyve have invested in etc right now? theres nothing to gain from their end.

People will get even more mad if something that's broke or not actually what they want, get transferred to the next league, since that league will be the first league ported to standard league at the end of season.

Early access do exist because the game is not fully fleshed out. Early access also can be done to experiment and make a better gaming experience in general. What GGG done now is not even take the advantage of Early Access.

"
they did the things they could do for now to make the QoL for us playing better, fix bugs, adjust gameplay elements. the other stuff will take time to do and they will package it with the next expansion of content into a new league where its impact can be properly assessed.

they know what the EA is here for, i think the players need to realise what its here for. its not here for you to play a completely balanced finished game right this minute. you think its jank? yeah, of course its jank, get used to that its gonna be jank in some form or other for the next year until release.

From my point of view, GGG are focused to please their "community" by not doing anything drastic at this moment, while shove every problem under the table to get fixed in the future league'ssss.

They barely mention any "gameplay element adjustment" on notes, hopefully it existed somehow
They literally explained some changes require more work and an economy reset which they feel is still too soon, even for EA.

Personally I'd be fine with major changes every 6-8 weeks or so.

The game already have soo much things to be adjusted at this moment, yet they still want to save everything else on new league, where it will collide with the newly implemented feature as well.

The worst case is that there will be a massive unwanted nerf, or buff due to clashing synergy between old and new feature GGG just waste 6+ month trying to pander their playerbase while "gathering data".

ah ok i see where the confusion is.

its ok theyre actually gonna release new 'leagues' throughout the EA phase in order to get data on the changes from a fresh server. the new league will probably be 1-1.5 months from now. at this rate id hard to imagine the full release will be any sooner than 9 months away id think, i would guess full release will be in the run up to christmas next year.

my guess would be about 6 weeks til they release the next EA league which will come with extensive rebalancing and mechanics changes to i would imagine the majority of skills and ascendancies along with a bunch of new content in order to give us a reason to go start again in the new league. maybe we get a couple of new classes? not sure yet.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
this one?

Will there be wipes during Early Access?
No, there will not be a wipe. We will do new leagues but none of your characters will be wiped, they will just go to a league called Early Access (so they will never be in Standard). In some cases characters in old leagues might be somewhat broken by balance changes though. After launch the "Early Access" characters will still exist.

IF that's the case, then it's settled. GGG ain't gonna make big changes on current league. So better wait for the next one for drastic updates.
