Update: Better Wait for Next EA League to see major changes

After seeing the patch notes
*No drastic changes about skill mechanic or game flow
*Nothing new on Multiplayer aspect
*Dupper get free of jail ticket

Srsly the list is pretty much what you get on a full release. Why GGG is so scared to fully experiment on EA league? why they afraid about the economy shift on an instance that won't get ported to standard league.

Even New World implement lots of wonky stuff on alpha, then readjust everything based on feedback, which is the reason why their game got 900k million concurrent player on steam at full release.

they're always torn between making the game more tedious and making it faster and more accessible, for fear of losing even more players and getting their fingers rapped by their parent company...

I couldn't agree with you more, this EA should allow for radical changes, temporary or permanent, in order to experiment and benefit of feedback from the community.
No idea. It's more an Alpha than beta so they should be making big changes.

The economy thing confuses me the most. 90% of players don't care about graveyard league. All I know is if they keep adding more monsters Act 1 /2 will have been the best this game every got.

It feels like GGG is afraid their beloved content creator & POE 1 veteran start giving actual feedback, rather than blindly praising them for fixing bug.

Please do something about those 10k++ energy shield & lightning dmg vs slightly lower maximum health and no dmg increase on the same stat distribution, chaos inoculation that give you low health and full health buff at the same time, crapy skill dmg & effect, and lots of lots of things that need to be adjusted

The CI being full and low health at the same time was hotfixed like...over a week ago?

I dont buy them being torn, they have the tech in POE1 to already deal with that situation. It has normal, and ruthless mode. Take all the unfun bullshit they are trying to foist on people now and make it the normal game, and put in a mode that is the opposite of Ruthless, call it Delightful Mode or something.

Strip it of achievements, make it SSF only, make it expire at the end of the season (no moving to standard) and relax all the bullshit unfun stuff to bring in the $$$ from the masses.

Its such an obvious and easy win/win, the only real draw back is that most of their players would be playing that, and like Ruthless mode in POE1, the "hardmode" / unfun mode would be a ghost town. 2 weeks after league launch, after the content locusts have "beaten" the game in 48 hours and gotten bored farming stuff, they will move on to something else.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.

Well that's a great news i guess
if you watch the Q&A they explained there is a full balance patch coming later with a new league. thats where all the balance changes are happening.

they probably have as much data as they need from this league to inform the next set of changes which will require a full new league to really get good data from. so why upset people by destroying their builds theyve have invested in etc right now? theres nothing to gain from their end.

they did the things they could do for now to make the QoL for us playing better, fix bugs, adjust gameplay elements. the other stuff will take time to do and they will package it with the next expansion of content into a new league where its impact can be properly assessed.

they know what the EA is here for, i think the players need to realise what its here for. its not here for you to play a completely balanced finished game right this minute. you think its jank? yeah, of course its jank, get used to that its gonna be jank in some form or other for the next year until release.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

I think you're asking too much of a stubborn studio like GGG.
The Vision must survive...

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't agree with you more, I've got 7500H ingame on PoE1 and I've never touched the ruthless mode.
New world lol….
