“Not doing big meta changes til the next major update” Killed a lot of different builds here, why not make it so socketed skills in meta gems generate reduced energy rather than none at all? Or put a higher cost modifier on the socketed gems to throttle them with resource pools? There were plenty of ways to address busted builds without making the time people put into making a build completely wasted. You can balance something without completely removing it from viability.
