🏚️ 💰 WE NEED AUCTION HOUSE NOT TRADES!!!
I used to think this for a very long time. But there's something I didn't know and I'm now certain GGG has made the right choice and thank god for that. The only reason anyone wants an auction house is to make selling their items more convenient for themselves. It's strictly a viewpoint of.. I COULD BE MAKING THIS MUCH BUT I'M NOT BECAUSE THEY WON'T PUT AN AUCTION HOUSE. Which is simply incorrect.. and here's why. There are people who have made it their business to become "illegal" traders on video games. If an auction house existed.. it would make it INCREDIBLY easy for these people to buy anything of value and charge way more.. resulting in much bigger prices for anything you would actually want to buy. If you're complaining about this issue it's probably because you wish it would take less time to make money. But it's the only thing stopping these people from taking way more advantage of a simple game enjoyer looking for ethical trades. Sad but true.

Stop talking about this shit request.
GGG needs to prioritize the endgame and balance and new classes/skills. Adding a fancy AH, will not makes this game more interesting. If u don't like trade, go play SSF. If u want to trade, learn to use website. Let developer focus on right vision. Don't be mad crying babies. Gamers, thanks. |

For all their talk about moving on with the times... they sure seem stuck in the 90s.

+1 AH is needed badly if GGG wants the game to be able to sustain a large amount of players. The website is ridiculously clunky and automates whispers. This is not a system that encourages player-to-player interaction.
And, with the ungodly levels of lag in POE 2 it takes at least a minute to process a transaction. Probably a minute to load into their hideout, two minutes to load out. POE 2 has exploded in growth, and I'm willing to bet the constant loading of excess hideouts just for a few seconds of 'player interaction' doesn't help at all with the lag. I think an auction house would help retain new players, lower lag, and make the game overall a much smoother interaction experience. An auction house could also make trade chat more desirable as a potentially cheaper way to circumvent the relatively stable Auction House prices. Either way, POE is getting to be far too large a game to not have an appropriate sales and auction system. |

" Wrong. Convenience to sell my items isn't the ONLY reason. I want convenience to buy other items and when I find an item half the time whispers don't get a response. It's also extremely difficult to actually sell items for those of us who don't play 10 hours a day or if we log on during low traffic hours. I can have reasonably priced items never sell because I'm AFK at the wrong time of day. This completely ruins trade for people who don't spend all day trading. GGG can also easily set price caps and price limits. They can set price change limits so items can't skyrocket in value in a short period of time. They can set it up so you can't turn an item as soon as you buy it or limit the amount you can do that, or they can set a cap on the profit from turning an item until a specified amount of time passes. There's a ton of ways to fix that. |
