Game is unplayable now due to stutter/choppiness
When the game first was released I had no issues with choppy/stuttering play, now I can barely kill a few mobs because of it. I have cleared my caches(shader included). I have been using the same GPU driver the whole time, no new windows updates since then either. Bosses are not even close to killable anymore. I get 2-3 hits in, then 2-4 seconds of pause, then 2-3 more hits in, while the boss does not get the pause, so I get hit hard, and killed.

I feel ya. I'm playing gigatank svalin ES bs because the game is too unstable to play as was intended. It was good on launch and has been getting steadily worse over time for me.
Are you aus based? poor connection seems to be a common problem on the aussie server. |

That sounds more like latency spikes, which can happen on third party nodes during your routing to the game server.
I would suggest that you note down the IP of the server you are connected to, then try change your gateway, quit the game, start back in and auto-select or select your normal gateway to see if you get on a different server. I've been able to fix this kind of latency spike in the past week this way, although sometimes I have to repeat it twice to get on a new server. You could also confirm it using tracert when you are experiencing these latency spikes. |

" Ping stays fine during the pauses. I see spikes in memory, shader, and drive usage on the poe2 graph during the events. I had 32gb of ram, and my ssd's are only about 40% full, and less than 6 months old. I did notice it gets way worse if I use the scourge weapon skin. I have a rtx 4090, so I have GPU power, and intel 13900HX. |

Its stuttering for me too, for the last 2-3 days its been far worse. No issues prior.
Its almost like when mobs come in range, it hitches briefly. The crashes went away (was 1 crash every 1.5hrs of play) and now this stuttering has replaced the crashes. I do recall in the Live Stream a few days ago he said they wanted to start logging more data, but it would cause performance loss.... I wonder if this is them just collecting more data to help track down that NVidia issue mentioned in stream. Either way, Im glad someone else noticed it, so I dont think its just me now. |

" In that case, have you checked temperatures? Specifically on your SSD. Back in Diablo IV, I had intermittent freezes whenever the game had to access assets on my NVMe SSD. Turned out that my NVMe SSD was heat-throttling, after I checked its throughput and temps. Once I moved my Diablo IV files to a different NVMe (same make and model, in fact same batch) that didn't heat throttle, the freezes went away. |

" You are having latency issues. Change the login server. |

this is probably a dumb question but have you tried turning down the graphics or turning off some advanced graphics features? i have a much less powerful rig then you and i do alright with my graphics turned down. granted i'm only at t9 maps right now and the breaches aren't too crazy. there is some stutter and significant resolution downgrade during breaches but its playable. never have stutters anywhere else but breaches.

I have the graphics set to the lowest possible, temps are in the high 70s(except ssds they are at 45), evernything is liquid cooled. I still have these issues on other servers. This is something new, because it wasnt doing this before, and nothing has changed on my end.

I literally have an i7, 32GM of Mem and a 24GB GPU and experiencing the same thing. Over the past few days this has made the game nearly unplayable. This is NOT a HW issue. Jump on Reddit to see pages and pages of players experiencing the same thing. Looks like it's network hops on their end.
