Save/Pause Game?

Hi, I just started playing a few days ago and I didn't notice anything allowing me to save or pause the game. I was an hour and a half into a quest and there was a connection error and when I logged back in I was back at the shore encampment -_____- Is there any way to save the game where I am or at least pause the game? I understand the game not pausing when you're playing with other people but I'm by myself, I would think you could pause in that scenario. Thanks.

Every given moment, your character is "saved".
No there is no pause. AFK in a safe place, and ya, you'll be returned to camp when you die, or DC.
Ok, thanks.

This is a Online Game, but NOT an MMO.
So there is no traditional saving methods.

Use a waypoint to quickly get back to where you were. The game does save your character and items on a very regular basis so don't worry about that.

The Waypoints are found random locations on the map. They can be spotted on the minimap as a blue blob. Click on them to activate the waypoint, so when you die, and are kicked back to town, you can take the waypoint back into the instance However after 8-15 the instance will reset, so of course you will have walk around looking for the entrance to the next instance all over again.

Its really annoying when u get disconnected or you have to go (leave the game do some real life stuff) and can't save your location, for example you're in 2 areas further than any of your waypoints and can't find new one in area you are... I had a situation like this yesterday. At least save my location that the next time i get back in the game i start in same area, even if it has to be randomized again. I guess going back to this place wasnt that bad and i still got some exp/items etc so it wasnt wasted time, but when they road there is randomized its not that easy to get back where i was again, its like im exploring new area all over again...

SOrry for long text, long story short - save my location when i leave, or at least make teleports be saved for when i leave the game so i can use them again when i log in.

er... the game maps are ransom instances. when you log back in the world is completely different so:

a) your portal wont exist in the same place as the world you were exploring is gone

b) even if you had a portal saved your map and environment would be completely different.

you really need to learn how instances and waypoints work.
I know how instances and waypoints work. I just don't like how my 'progress' that i made getting to new area is nullified if i have to log off and i can't find (or there is none) waypoint. I understand that world will change but that's not the problem for me. I'm FINE with world being completely different because i'll be in the same 'area' (instance? you know , the one point on map) that i left and i won't have to to run again from 2 areas far away just to get back there because i got kicked out or i had to leave (and i couldn't afk cause i might have died)

So yeah, i just want to start on the same map, not the same looking map but the same one i left, not having to get to that map again. You get it?
