Sure sure, a couple of years ago you guys were saying the same thing about currency trade :)

This is the time to raise our voices now or never, just spam Training Dummy until we get it.

And it's different this time, we have damage numbers for bosses so it's simple, we need a passive "boss" in hideout, that's all.


I know its simple. Theres many other QoL features that are simple too and yet they failed to deliver them for years :(

I loved currency exchange and settlers in general :) Hope you're right.
i spend the majority of my gold re-speccing individual passive branches to calculate stat equivalencies for my class - a training dummy for checking DPS and ailment application is a HUGE +1 from me.

I don't know if we have it but I didn't see it so please add Training Dummy to the hideout to see the damage and test our build.


you might wanna rename the title, as what you are talking about is more akin to a test dummy, and that i would love, a training dummy is something else and the title may confuse people
we'll have path of building soon enough if you really need to know how much dps your char does but it will never be built into the game as the devs dont like the idea of dps meters which is what it essentially would be. Like they didn't even put damage numbers into the game for this reason.
Agreed! Been thinking about that for a while. Adding a dummy to test everything, Skills, support gems, jewelry etc, at your hideout would be a game changer. Instead of teleporting and testing everything on maps, and teleporting back n forth to make some changes in your build.

That could be an NPC you could get during ACTs, or at least a CHEAP mtx char.
Sadly just doesn't make any sense for numerous reasons.

Firstly the game is about surviving the map, not beating it. True dps checks are pretty rare.

There are a LOT of conditional builds that cant be measured.
My thorn-warbringer especially would be impossible to measure.

Prime to stun builds up by any damage. Yes... even if the enemy triggers my thorn. Often I cant use Boneshatter because the enemy hit me so hard it stunned itself XD

Warriors use scavenged plate: enemies broken armour gives you stack that gives you armour + thorn.
Barb gem: if the enemy triggers your thorn, your next 4 attack will have added thorn value.

Just this single skill-gem combo would make a target dummy untraceble and unreliable:
- dummy don't hit me: no thorn. So you come to the conclusion that thorn build non-existent?
- scavenged plate stack:
Do you have 0 because you cant even rotate skills? Because white mob give 1 stack, magics 5 and bosses give you 10 stack.
- when thorn was triggered how many stacks you had?


Thats just a single build version. I am sure many other have similar unreliability on a dummy.

And the games majority is AOE swarm.
Even against a single target often the damage is splash damage from swarms.


The map is your "target dummy"
Often builds measured how far you can go into the game.

Thats why often say: if you can clear t15 maps with ease, can get your 4th ascendancy alone, and do t0 pinacle content your build is legit.
