witch hunter sucks

I'm running brass dome on witch hunter to armour stack and I end up with something like 22k armour 35k to ele and 6.3k sorcery ward with 1.9k life and it's respectably tanky, I had no problem tanking pre-nerf monkey in t15s etc. DoTs are dangerous but after the shade walker nerf they're manageable. I had to make myself ignite immune because ignites seem to be broken but otherwise its a very solid defensive set up.


if this build stay for 1.5 sec near breach opening or abyss on 4-6mod map, this ward would be gone immediately, and you cowardly need to dodge roll and escape from dying in next second. This isn't comparable at all with es in this game

The only viable option is go full Evasion, dou EV/AR scaling on items is horrible. It's a pseudo EV/ES in case that GGG decides to nerf ES to the ground I think socery ward would be decent for survivability.
I'd say the only "bad" Asc passives WW has is the weapon swap one.

Other than that your issue is not WW itself, but support of Arm/EV combination.

WW can go pure Evasion and be ok thanks to Sorc ward tbh.

At least the high damage version I play isn´t very viable for HC. Don´t know how it plays if you go armor instead of evasion.

bro learn to play, witchhunter one of the best late game class I am running around with 7k shield that absorbs chaos damage and one shotting boss

Not really, the only really dangerous map mods are %damage and damage as chaos and as long as I avoid these breach and abyss are completely fine. The other part of my ascendency is phys explode which works really really well in abyss and breach so those mobs that pop up are dead within 1.5 sec anyway. I'm not saying it's better than es but that doesn't mean it isn't an effective defensive layer.
