witch hunter sucks -
- Armor and evasion are a sick joke, acrobatics sucks, 0 es nodes anywhere near merc tree - Gun jams Lvl 85 withch hunter here, it was great doing campaign, but when i see sorcs and monks blow through t15 with 0 deaths and with ease it makes me sad. Folks say its a skill isssue, do you know how high the skill cap is to stay alive on a merc ???!?!?!? Last bumped on Dec 29, 2025, 7:33:54 PM

Fun fact, witch hunter ascendancy offers culling strike but its connecting nodes give increased damage to low hp enemies.
But the benefit of attacking a low hp monster is lost because your attacks would have culled them once they reached the cull threshold (and this is made even worse the more improved the cull threshold is). So therefore, part of the tree makes you spend points to get nearly ZERO benefit. Poorly designed. Also the weapon master node probably should be buffed more, my idea: "swapping weapon sets grants an empowered skills no often than once every 4 seconds, Empowered skills have 30% more damage and 20% more area of effect" Last edited by louiscardinal#3024 on Dec 28, 2025, 7:12:23 PM

Evasion in general is a problem. With so many one shot mechanics and no life on the passive tree, evasion with out an over-tuned ES pairing is dead in the water, at least in HC. I was kind of shocked windward was nerfed… that was the only defense evasion had and it was killed

Yea, no. Evasion with deflection and armour is just as viable and easy to play with than anything else. Stop standing in your maps doing nothing while enemies attack
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.

Yep, that's why i invested 40+ div to get ~90% max res and 59% phys convert cloak of flame. Shit game balance? Shit armour and evasion synergy? So don't use it at all, literally spit on vision cause it's ruin game

" The only time when i remember that evasion was good were good times in poe1 with elder and his +5% to evade rings modifiers and no shit version old guard skills with dodge 40% spells from acrobatics. " I posted about these probles since 0.1, seems that vision is covering their eyes too strong. Btw decimating strike sucks too with ~200% culling strike investment with herald skills, cause white and blue mobs can't even get dot, freeze to activate herald effect.. Also, culling/decimating strikes are easy to achieve even without wh. It's so arrogant, i didn't think i was agreeing to EA to feel like such a fool, even though I'm not a Diablo enjoyer. Concentration sucks in long consistent fights, and also it has literally minor effect close to zero, when at same time chronomancer can fully turn off mobs and bosses for seconds to kill with anomalous chilling gameplay. Balance sucks deeply in this ea, amd what make me sad that ggg doing it after 5-6 years of tons of negative in poe1 process cause of that 2nd part dev-nt, and they bring so obvious problems which blind my eyes and call it vision. The culling threshold is reduced for Rare and Unique monsters. On Uniques it's 5%, so you have a good window of time to benefit from extra damage to low health monsters.
