Remove Rarity as Item Mod
Hi,
I wanted to make a simple recommendation to adjust Rarity's case in PoE2, I believe it would be better to remove Rarity as a mod from items, and the MF not be allocated directly to items. As a recommendation, I would like them to look into improving the Rarity allocated directly to Atlas, the scaling of this seems to be much easier to balance now and in the future for new leagues. There are strong indicators, that "increase rarity" has strong dimishing returns bast 100% on your gear.
In addition there are indicators, that "increased rarity" does not change the quality of currency drobs but just the overall amount up to a soft-cap of 100% IF this is true then there is not an as big problemm as mmany belive. Most of the known loot-explosion videos come from greatly pimped maps and/or group play (which even in PoE1 adds quantity and rarity if you do it). Just with some rarity on maybe your gloves and one ring will significant improve your chance to find more/better items. There is absolut NO NEED to get far over 100% as it seams. Which is fine and can be done by all Classes/Specs. Last edited by Schakar#4083 on Jan 5, 2025, 7:40:12 PM

For example:
Add nodes to the passive atlas, such as: +20% monster life +50% increased rarity 10% reduced damage +50% increased rarity These are some nodes that could be in Atlas Passive that could replace item nodes and that would not force everyone to use MF. Alan Leonardo Piovesan

Yeah...
It's funny. They removed it because it's bad, said it's bad, then reintroduced it and, SURPRISE: It's bad... Who would have guessed? edit: bad in this case means: bad for the game. It's bad for the game that this garbage stat is actually good and forces you to make your gear worse... Last edited by frette#3669 on Jan 5, 2025, 7:41:48 PM

tbh i like it, if you dont like it, dont use it. is simple AF. Idk why everyone cry about it.

I prefer it and I believe many other players would like to use other mods on their items other than Rarity.

" Yes, just don't use it and get shit drops. Easy. Problem solved. You are a legitimate genius, mate. |

" Of course we have that option! But it always seems like we should also have this mod in the build, if not, we're falling behind in farming and everything! After all, everyone wants to drop divine and rare items. Alan Leonardo Piovesan

" Isnt that point of it? you sacrifice your stats to be weaker, but you get rewarded for it. Or you can choose to be stronger but get less loot. But peple cry about everything in every game today. they all want everyting to be easy and rewards to be godlike. |

This 'terrible mechanic' that 'makes games bad' has been around since before the turn of the millennium. It was part of some obscure titles you've probably never heard of that totally haven't kept the genre alive and kicking... like Diablo 1.
2026 is around the corner, experts agree that there's no way the genre can last a full thirty years unless this property is removed. |
