But on a more serious note - I wonder why they even introduced mechanics like strongboxes and essences, but watered them down so much they are basically useless? I ignore both of them (well, essences you have to click on, because you have to kill the rare in maps). They could remove both mechanics and no-one would notice. --- But I'm not a cynic, yet - IMO GGG will revise all these watered down things, including crafting, which is as barebone as it can be. Essences are another example of Grinding Gear Games being on top of their game.
Regular Joe would assume putting points into things like +%chance to contain an essence would actually give you +%chance to contain an essence in a waystone. Wrong. This is not some outdated arpg where you get what you think you do, Grinding Gear Games make it so that every twist and turn is a surprise. Playing a game that keeps you awake at night and even more so by day is what playing Path of Exile 2 is. |
