Is POE2 really a game released this year?

If I need to improve my gaming experience, such as quick price queries without leaving the game, loot filters, editing loot filters, etc., I need to download 2 to 4 out of game plugins.
Is this really a game released in 2024 or 2025?
Why do I have to understand programming basics when I want to customize my own loot filter?
When a player needs a certain function that is not provided by the production team but seeks third-party software or websites, it often means the production team's incompetence or inaction.

Well technically it isn't released yet so... no? :P

Technically this game has not been released yet.
GGG said EA for at least 6 months.
Realistically I'd guess closer to 2026.

You don't need loot filter to play. (I think we already have one default? never use that before) Many are free to download and good one too.

You also don't need to quit the game to edit loot filter either.
I do agree that it lack thing like build-in loot filter builder. But because this is PoE - you are going hard way, like explore those passive tree on your own.

When their first announcement is to delay the EA by 3 weeks that should answer all you need to know. 0 chance it makes a 2025 release, and honestly what's released now took 5 years so not sure how they'll add all these classes, weapons, gems, supports and end game systems when they couldn't even get rarity right or add a expedition locker lmao

I don't use a trade macro. I played with 4 tabs for a long time. I use to post my "shop" on the forums before any of that was even an option.

Gaslighting.. ah, the easy way to know you're dealing with someone who just parrots what other people say.

i think 3rd party stuff is fine.


sometimes its because the devs dont want it in the main game. something like path of building, having it as an external 3rd party tool means that by the time its something you could really do with having and it wont spoil anything for you you are already deep enough in the community to find it.


other stuff like actual filters, the devs dont think its their place to tell a player what a good item is. thats something for the players to decide. i think this is a correct way to do it, theyre not going to say a divine is more important than an exalt. that is for us as players to decide.


having the filter maker in game? sure, they could do that, no reason they shouldnt. but it would take development time and theres so much do to. we got 6 more acts, 24 more ascendacies with 6 classes, all the item bases, new maps and bosses. soon as all that is done the game gets released and then bam, 3 months to make 20 new uniques a whole new crating system and endgame mechanics with new monsters and bosses for the first league and then thats done, 5 minute break and we go again, next 3 months cycle go go go, make it through, next cycle lets go...

theres so much pressure on the team. what is actually important here? the community cant design act 6 or the first 3 month league. they can design filterblade. why not just let the community do that and then out the actual dev teams hours into stuff that is essential and only they can develop?

No. It's in early access right now and isn't released yet.
