Does Wondertrap Shoes work with Chaos Inoculation?

Wondertrap Silk Shoes effect is 50% increase Rare Item find when Low Life, But Chaos Inoculation moves your life to 1 .

I think it should?
When using Support Gem - Extraction -> gain 25% damage but remove 10% Life per cast... I can drop myself to 1 Life but not die.

So Either the Devs account for divide by Zero or just put in no kill clause.

What do Y'all think? I have no way to really tell if/when this triggers.

No, with CI you are considered full life

Chaos Inoculation makes your maximum life 1

Low Life is considered to be 35% of you maximum life.

You'd have to be at 0.65 life to be low life. I don't think the game calculates life to the decimal point. And even if it did, there's no real reliable way to remain at that level for long periods of time.

Your best bet would be to find a way to reserve life, which I don't know if you can do anymore with the introduction of spirit.

Life cost for spells could be a way to do it, but youd have to have some terrible life regen to stay low life long enough.
No but you can use wonderstrap shoes on burning ground maps and sit in them to stay low life
Thank y'all for the reply's.

I was thinking that per cast with extraction would move my life from 1 to 0.9 then 0.8....0.1....0.09 but doesn't seem to be the case. It's just seen as 1 ..which I guess is how Chaos Inoculation and stuff like it works.

I do see a difference now after I have swapped the boots out for Thief ring and Ingenuity Belt. If I come Across the Ventor ring I'll give that a shot as well.

The drop rate in Cruel difficulty is odd though,

Have the Dev's ever really discussed how Rarity of Items work ?

ex:

rand = generatePseudoRandomNumber (0, 10000) // base number between 0 and 10,000
if(rand <= dropChance * #) //where # is base value 1 times the % of rare drop chance from equipped item?

unique only drops on number greater than some threshold ?

Yes it works because at the moment CI makes the character both Full / Low life at all times .

I would not recommend using them though , i got a pair of these shoes and my main is respecing as CI but i won't use them as most of those MF uniques are terribad to play with and high MF is achievable without ( i looted a +50% MF rare amulet for example ) : last unique i dropped was those gloves that gives +50% MF and remove 2% of Life/Mana on Kill . No thanks .

Except there is no decimals in life values current calculations so as it is with Full Life = 1 , so does is Low Life : also 1 . Most if not all items or passives procing when being Full or Low Life ( or both ) does proc with CI as it is right now , i saw yesterday another thread complaining about it right here btw .

There is a ascendancy that can reserve life (Infernalist) that I think can always be on low life if they take all 3 ascendancy nodes that reserve life.

Do you know how they were able to confirm the 1 = 1 low life ?

I did only a short experiment - same items items - 10 ish minutes of grinding mobs with CI then with CI removed...it seemed when above 1 hp the drops on average were above the time when CI was on.

I'd be curious to know if there were some other variables in play so I can swap the Shoes back in when farming on my Sorc.

That's not how you check that lol . If you got CI and have those shoes on your +% MF goes up in the detailed infos of your skills : the line +% Rarity Drop on Killing Monster .

If you see no change your MF is either too low or too high at the moment ( soft cap and desired value on gear is 200% MF ) .
