Losing an entire map when you die feels terrible

It sucks because my game crashes when I hit the direct minion key and I lose the map from it. It just happened after me avoiding hitting it for so long. I made a topic about it too.

I get on and play until I die and log off. Mapping is so unrewarding as it is. Then to just lose everything playing this hardcoreish crap is just a horrible experience.

" 1. yes 10% of xp. (harsh on 90+) 2. I killed the mob and have loot that was served to me for pick up. it is mine! 3. a portal is not a thing it is abstract, so is air. the value is not in coins. 4. agreed. i worked so hard to get some map and somehow got 1 shotted and boom!, whole map is lost. should be like poe 1. you get as many tries as the number of portals you have left..
first time I got a nicely modded, difficult T8 map. I'm always for a challenging game play. died and quickly found out, it was over....'cries'.. haha "fuck around and find out"

I have consistently lost maps just from using the 'direct minion' key and crashing the game.

If they want to keep 1 portal, I hope they at least introduce something that would allow us to use more than 1 portal if earned.
Say you fill a bar similar to delirium and when full, that allows you to use +1 portal, or revive a friend (so long as you aren't a full party to begin with). This creates a sense of urgency to get your friends up or allows maybe one more portal per map, if you've earned it. The current system completely killed the mood for my casual friends - whom are new players, who have never played PoE 1. It hinders party play so heavily and creates a very punishing and un-fun environment when you want to play with friends. Of course solo is also a massive pain, but the system is currently encouraging people to not play with each other, because it sucks to sit there dead for 5-10 mins while someone finishes the map and loots everything. Even fortnite recognized how bad this mistake was and added a way to revive dead squadmates - no one wants to sit there, not playing the game with their friends for 5-10 or more minutes. |

Now imagine going for some end game boss without watching through an hour or youtube lessons on how to not die there...
Content should not demand that. which means there should be room for learning/error. |
