Stop wasting players' time.

I like punishment for death. It forces you to make your build better and pay attention. If you want an afk-brain loot fest, go play another game. Don't try to drag this one down.

Of all the issues with the game, EXP loss on death (assuming it can't delevel you) is probably the lowest on my list.

Just add the option with / without penalty. I dont give a shit who is playing on lv 100 or with / without punishment.
It's my time not yours. I dont want that penalty. I f you want it defferently, fine - just put this option on. But I am 100 % sure that 99,9 % of all players will turn it off. Just stop trolling this topic, REALLY no one believe, thats a good mechanic. I died in the morning lv. 92 - and it felt way more than 10 % and secondly there was absolutly no way to survive that. 1 death : at least 4 maps - so around 40 minutes to 1 hour ( depends on the amount of loot) |

" I'll try to focus on the 1-shots and keep my "blah blah" to a minimum. It is an early access, there's a ton of "stupid mechanics" and "wastage" by default, that's the whole point of playing an early access. We're here playing it so we can provide feedback, nobody should be considering this a finished product and if they are, they're completely mistaken and lost the whole point of this. So my question to you is since we're focusing on the "one shots": if in the future there's no 1-shots or what we might currently consider "random deaths", would you be ok with losing 10% of xp, or not? Because I'm getting confused now on where the problem is, is it the 1-shots, the xp loss or a combination? Just to be clear from my side, random deaths and bugs are always going to exist, so that's why I'd prefer a middle ground of "let's have some punishment, but it doesn't need to be that steep", both sides of the fence can equally be happy that way, I suppose. |

By all means keep XP loss, increase XP gain by a factor of 10 on late levels, add activities to farm XP quick.
It is one thing not to die for 3-4-5 hours, it is another thing to not die for 40-50 hours. You need to know that if you play endgame mapping almost every mob explodes after death dealing 10k dmg on capped resistances. |

It's a video game. The primary purpose is to waste your time (generally in a way you find enjoyable). Asking it to stop wasting your time is a meaningless request.

" Why it is allowd that every troll is running free ? Maybe you should start to use your brain: Game ( Fun after works !) -> creates jobs -> some creative ppl are working in this segment -> They are responsible for en enjoyable funny exciting time after Job besides your family -> if they dissapoint their customers -> customers looking for another enjoyable hobby with other features -> less customers -> less jobs -> than no customers -> no jobs -> no money to support their families -> So to make the community happy with features which are hard or difficult in different ways are keeping them alive -> look what happened to so many other publishers -> No one asked to have an easy peasy game -> we asked for QoL features like on / off xp loss or for deletimg after death effects. And in this part of the forum you can find more than 10 k posts from gamers who believe these mechanics are idiotic, so NO ONE CARES what you want. They cant survive with the 2 k POE 1 playerbase, therefore they designed something new. Because no one wanted to start with POE 1. -> Therefore YOU all should work and agree to these very necessary changes, because the 90 % are keeping POE 2 alive and not the 2 k hardcorebobs which paid maybe 300 bucks in this game. With this little money you could pay a designer 2 month. SO PLEASE start to use your brain. Last edited by Hecktoor#2386 on Dec 31, 2024, 5:27:32 PM

" I get you're new to the game but xp loss isn't going away. If you can't get over it than POE isn't the game for you obviously. Maybe you should have tried POE1 first to see if you would even liked the gameplay before buying EA to the second. |

Let's make all characters hardcore. That would solve the xp penalty.
