Late Game = PoE1 with less customization, more on death, and worse movement skills
" Hoping they make Hyaon's Fury actually good in this game |

+1
Game if a strong regression over PoE 1. Gave up on it yesterday, didn't ask for this, sorry. Developers need to take out what people hate and put in what people like. Maxbe in 2026 or so things will be better, but I have no need for a frustrating experience. |

" Is that the damage per frenzy charge sword that reduces your defences? Yeah I wanted to play with that thing so bad but equipping it may as well have just killed you in your hideout lol. |

Yep +1
It's just so weird how this game regresses instead of using the lessons learned from PoE 1. 300 splinters for a breachstone? Picking them up 1 by 1? Really? And the list just goes on. I think this Early Access was rushed out way too soon and they'll need way more than 6 months to actually make endgame fun. Because right now its just some kind of weird infinite delve-like atlas but even worse than Delve.(and I hate Delve and skip it every league lol) |

" It is insane how many clicks I have done on splinters. I've made 14 entire breachstones. Which means I have clicked only breach splinters 4200 times. When you think about the fact they are so spread out, that's actually insane. On average it is probably 5 seconds to pick up each one after a breach (some take a sec, some take a minute to go find). That is 21000 seconds, or 350 minutes. Which means I have spent 5.8 hours simply clicking breachstones. They absolutely, 100% must make it so splinters drop in a single stack, after you finish the mechanic. Make all breaches act like the breachstone, and drop all items in the same place after they are done. OR AT LEAST just the splinters. |

" Yeah, worst part of the game by far. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Jan 1, 2025, 10:34:00 AM

Honestly, I went into it hoping it would be like Endless Delve but a bit more full, so to speak.
This end game, as another poster mentioned here, is literally just Last Epoch's system, but worse. At least in LE, you get loot during the map itself, and at the end when you beat the map, go to HO and open the chest and bonus shard. Plus, in LE, if you somehow manage to die during the map, you only lose the bonus reward from the shard you pop. In this game you lose everything. I got to watch a nice waystone + deli/breach/expedition/boss map disappear before my very eyes due some explosion on-death effect that I couldn't see at all because it was under corpses and some game scenery. Kill the rare, 5 seconds later after killing the rare and picking up its loot, I'm dead too. It wasn't even a degen. Top tier game design. I'm the type of person that loves endlessly generated content usually. The Endless Delve events they would occasionally host, I'm all over that like a fly on sh!t. Lol. Even in PoE1, I delve as much as I can. This endgame, combined with objectively stupid designs like the endless ODEs hidden by scenery, plus the all or nothing approach combine to form one very unfun, unrewarding package. |

" I really wanted to like it, I thought I would too. Pretty much exactly everything you mentioned here has worn me down to the point where when I realize have to do 20-30 pathing maps so I can set up some towers to do a little blasting (half of which will be bricked by random deaths), I get physically ill. |

" I think what will kill the enjoyment completely for a lot of people in this system(besides everything else wrong with it) is the complete lack of the Favorite Map System. PoE 1's endgame is all about player choice and agency, choosing what league mechanics you enjoy and juicing them up on your atlas tree. Blocking the ones you don't like. Running whatever map you want and being able to swap your fave maps any time. Then this game just goes and purposefully un-learns all of that and turns in the opposite direction of "you are forced to do bad layouts to have the luxury of doing 1 map you enjoy" aka "the devs want you to play in this specific way and no other way". Where's the player choice? Gone. If the game releases as f2p on steam and this endgame system is exactly how it is now, I feel like many will quit out of sheer boredom lmao(seriously I never want to see another Augury or lever pulling animation its sooooo bad) Last edited by Toforto#2372 on Jan 1, 2025, 11:14:00 AM
