Vendor Prices and Early Game Difficulty (edited for clarity)

(The TLDR is that I think vendor prices are too low right now.)

So no surprise, the game is a lot easier when you start a second character and have virtually infinite gold to spend on Act 1. You can buy every item with +life on it, movement speed boots, and DPS upgrades for your weapons.

I don't have an issue with this because it's part of the same league and I don't necessarily want the same difficulty if I'm starting a second character.

However, I was curious about how the changes to vendor prices would affect the difficulty, so I started a fresh character in SSF.

The fact that the higher drop rate means more farmable gold and potentially good items, combined with the fact that shop prices are actually affordable now means I was able to get +life gear on most of my gear pretty easily (and I am only halfway through Act 1.) I lucked into buying movement speed boots early on. I bought a white Short Bow to replace my Crude Bow, then upgraded it with currency to get some pretty nice DPS for Act 1.

It might seem backwards to some people, but I feel like the campaign is just too easy now. I enjoyed the difficulty level at launch, although I do think it needed to be dialed back a little. I want to be greeted by a similar difficulty with the launch of every league. One thing I hated about POE 1 was how it felt like the campaign was just something you did to get it out of the way. I feel like the vendor prices in POE 2 are too low right now, and it just trivializes the campaign. Boss fights are a very easy when you have enough +life, dps, and movement speed. I don't want to get one shot all the time, but if it doesn't happen occasionally, it feels like I'm not being punished for my mistakes.

So, obviously, this needs to come with a disclaimer. Part of the reason it feels easier is because I am more experienced with playing the game. Another factor is probably that I chose Ranger this time instead of Mercenary and crossbows are pretty awful early game until you can finally get some reload speed.

Trying to take these factors into account, I still feel like vendor prices should be ~50% higher than they are right now.

What prevents you from paying 60 ex instead of 30 for an item? I am sure seller would appreciate it alot.

Man i swear..its always these sweats who play cheese builds, who can farm t17 maps in 2 minutes, who have 200 divines already , its always them complaining about stuff like this.

Go on and play my build in t10 , where you get 3-4 ex an hour. I would like to see your attitude then.
Terrible idea. Most players do not want their 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. characters to be just as grindy as the 1st. Which is what you’re asking for.

You do, and that’s completely fine, but you’ll need to impose limits to how you play yourself if you want to play a certain way vs. thinking every other player should have a worse experience to accommodate you.

Posts like his really proves how many selfish people there are,who look only after themselves.

Imagine amount of ego to ask GGG to butcher something just because you like it that way.

I had no problem killing any of the act bosses,i still didnt make topics like ''game is fine,i had no issues killing bosses , leave it as it is''

Don’t think that’s really fair. This is the feedback forum. He gave his feedback. That’s all you can ask folks to do.

OP was civil about it, just turns out most people probably disagree with them. No big deal, no need to get up in arms.
OP i agree with you and i think the game is too easy on subsequent characters.

I think that the first playthrough with having no gear or gold is a good difficulty tough, i dont know maybe you just got lucky.

I think you are proposing the wrong solution though, i dont want to get oneshot constantly, but what i want is longer boss fights so your flask charges actually matter.

You run out of flask charges -> you die

There also should be no option to pause or respawn during boss fights, at least in HC, its so lame.

"I think shop prices are too low right now"

I wanted to stop reading at that point, sorry, but I continued nevertheless.

I'm 92 level running t15s every day ( when rng helps me even higher ) and I've found 1 divine up to this point ( also with 200ish rarity and whatnots ).

Nothing in the "shop" is approachable for me, especially if it's an actual upgrade at this point for my character.

So no idea what you're talking about, and no offense intended.
