Leveling from 96 to 97

I have just counted that it takes roughly 300-350 maps to level up. If we count an average of 5 mins per map (being effecient and not spending much time in between).

That is like 25-hours-non-stop grind and whats more if you die once, you get thrown back by ~3 hours of grind.

Good. Nothing wrong with a hard game.

The word you're looking for is tedious.

It's not hard. It's tedious.

A hard game challenges your skills. Repetitive map grinding isn't based on skill.

Hopefully this helps you when you're interacting with other people on the forums.

Bad. This is artificial difficulty. This will eventually be changed and hopefully with content.
5 minutes per map? maybe in poe but in poe2 its more like 25 minutes because of all the backtracking to hunt the rares in the giant mazes.not to mention you need to full clear the map to get the most xp. i stopped at 93 because it was getting so mind numbingly boring.

Its been what, 1 month give or take and youre already lvl 96?

I wonder why the xp punishment is there

This game isn't competitive. People play it largely solo.

Why can't someone be level 100 in a game like this?

I didnt say they cant be, ofcourse they can be and should be.

My point was that he is already lvl 96 in such of short time, its a no brainer that there is some kind of punishment that restricts the level gain.

And the game was just released, we have only 3 acts etc. There will surely be some sort of xp gain changes in future, its early access.

Oh yes. So players that want to hit max level should be artificially held back, because you don't agree with it?

Makes total sense honestly. Punish everyone that doesn't play the way you agree with.
