Warrior is VERY slow.

well there was a meme that they hate melee so.
that and the spreadsheet calculator theme of the game where a couple skills are overpowered makes warrior a full meme. default attack + boneshatter ftw. Last edited by SerialF#4835 on Dec 28, 2024, 2:33:50 AM

+1
The combination of forced animations / steps, additionat total time that cannot be reduced and in general the limited angle of some strikes like Perfect Strike (if you aim at the head of a mob it misses due to parallax difference between the feet used as center of the aim and the hand of the character used for the collision) makes it feel quite slow. The committment to each attack is probably a definig charateristic for this archetype but in addition of the usual melee downsides it feels worse than other classes, at least in the campaign. From what I can tell the solution is not using skills beside boneshatter and just go with basic attack (sadly) I imagine that in the endgame when you stack a lot of attack speed it gets much better. |

Warrior is a new archetype of slow hard hitting slam based builds which are "supposed" to be tanky. Chieftain, Jaggaurnaut and Champion from PoE1 comes to mind when thinking of this playstyle.
If you are looking for faster Melee which are physical damage oriented, then that should be the Maurader class, it should theoretically follow the Berserker and Slayer type of gameplay. Some people genuinely like the Warrior playstyle, and some don't. If you are really keen for fast melee, then stick to the Monk for now. Last edited by Climet#7103 on Dec 28, 2024, 2:55:53 AM

" thank you for sharing This is definitely a solid build, I like it. But it doesn't match your initial description. Whether in terms of movement or speed, it is difficult to call it "flying" over the T16. 8 min a map is too slow tbh. Almost three times longer than spark build. Interestingly, although your first reply refutes the OP’s point of view to some extent, your video perfectly supports the OP’s point of view. My titan build suffered some survivability problem but I can do a T16 under 5 min. (thst's why I was interesting about your setup.) Last edited by jojo1225#3785 on Dec 28, 2024, 4:29:39 AM

" Thanks :) Depends on your interpretation of "flying", I meant it in a literal sense that I was actually flying. (Leap slam). The showcase wasn't for speed clearly, im standing around in rituals looking at gear for like a minute and picking up bases, killing random mobs. I could have very easily just rushed to the boss and killed it in like 2 - 3 min. You saw that there was nothing stopping me from going faster other than myself. OP's point is there's no point scaling attack speed which is plain wrong for my build. All core skills benefit from it. |
