Maps don't drop, if they do, u got killed by nothing u can avoid.
u rush to get map/loot and get insta kill - Good design GGG

literal skill issue if you are insta dying to anything, why don't you seriously play HC and learn the game, learn how it works dude, if you're build is insta dying to some trash white mob, you're playing the game wrong, and the game should not be even closely balanced to your incompetence.

This is a feedback forum, instead of being so mean to other players please actually provide meaningful feedback and discussion of the topic in this thread. What you're doing here is just elitism and bullying.

I gave them feedback, feedback that they need to put in effort to learn the game, it's not elitism to say you're not understanding gameplay loops and mechanics.

Look the thing is the market is already oversaturated with trivial ARPGs and they're already many titles that offer no punishment if you die.

Instead of complaining that POE2 isn't one aswell try find a solution how to avoid it, no matter how far you are in the gam atm....In ARPGs it's usally grinding and finding better gear.

And if it takes months it takes months....Or maybe only 1 day bcs a lucky drop today.

But if you spend time in the forums complaining instead of playing the game you'll never find out. ;)

PS: And sometimes simply take your time, stay there ingame and enjoy the beautyful graphics a lake on the south side of a "Steaming Springs" map has to offer.

God damn, this game is so beautyful...not only gameplay vise. :)

You are missing the point, people that like it, would still have it, and people with less time for the game, would still have their fun.

For example I do have about 3500 hours on PoE 1, spend about from 100h to 200h for each season that I did play, now with only 70h on PoE 2, I'm thinking on puting aside because of all the punishment that we get at end game

So you practicaly want them to nerf the content to the point, that you can achieve the same results within 70 hours as someone wo've already invested 3-400 hours f.e.....so you can have fun?

Who urges you to have a build ready today to not die in T15 maps?....The "Early Access Season" runs for more than 5 months from now on, it won't kill you if it requires you 2-3 months to run T15 maps propperly.

It only kills your ego, becasue some people who play POE2 for the living can already faceroll the content and you not.

Or is someone standing behind you and urge you to "finish the game" this week? ^^

I have no problem if my build can't run T15 for the next 2 months (I even wish myself that it will be the case in future)....my ego allows me to farm T11-12 maps till my char is equiped enough to run T15+ without dying. ;)

Look you spent so much time here complaining....go back to the game, farm gear, farm currency and your problems will be seolved.

POE2 is an ARPG at the end of the day....This games are all about grinding gear constantly.

Last reply to u to be honest ... you are missing the point on what I'm trying to say, for 3 times ... or any one with the same opinion as me

You would still get what you want, and people with the same opinion as me, would get it too ... its a win win situation, but no, you want to force people to play as u want to play the game

If u want to die and lose the map, I would not stop you, or any one to be honest, if you die at a map, you could just pick up another waystone ... and use it ... and nothing would change for u ...

Whatever, reported the trolls for breach of forum guidelines and harassment. Done replying to them.

Anyway, +1 for removal of all death penalties. They're unhealthy for the game, stressful and shouldn't be in softcore.
Death is often just a one-shot out of the blue. Armor crushed, evasion roll fails, whatever...you just go from full to death. It's rage-inducing. And fixing it in the endgame isn't possible since it requires godly gear for X divine orbs. I've seen 2 of those drops in my 100+ T15 maps.

The thing is, as soon as there is some other new game that a player is interested in they will simply stop playing PoE2 and not come back the next day. I'm sure I'm not the only one who exits and finds some other thing in life to do for a bit before returning. But eventually, I just won't return unless something changes.

Not everyone wants to play a chaos innoculated 15k+ ES caster.

And here you're completely wrong, sry to say.

If they take away all your stated penalties the have to balance the game around 6 portals instead of 1 f.e.....this is a huge gameplay change and will trivialize the game for everyone else.

Stop complaining about penalties and start to grind better gear....or do you already own a 600+ Divine setup that let you surive T15+ maps and where you don't care about penalties anymore? ;)

No you guys die becasue you want to zoom though juiced T15+ maps with 3-4 Div gear and not willing to spend 3-400 more to actually do it without dying.

At least be honest to yourself, thats the first step for propper min/maxing in ARPGs.

If I don't own propper gear for T15 f.e. I either go down to the tier where I survive liiteraly every hit and 1-shot everything by myself....Or if I want to have a challange, do T15 undergeared but take 15-20 minutes per map bcs kiting every mob 1 by 1. ^^

Game is out for 3 weeks now....why do you wan't the game being so trivial, that you would have done all content at this point?

To complain that "theres nothing to do in this game"? XD

It's just your ego guys that you're not willing to do lower tier maps or taking longer than 2 minutes per T15+ map with gear worth 4-10 Divines. ;)

Exactly, one-shots are 100% the game's design. All people are asking is for this game to respect their time, and if it does not then they'll all uninstall and leave en masse the moment a more fun game appears that doesn't punish them every 2 seconds for no reason.

These death penalties have no place in Softcore, Hardcore already exists for people that want to lose progress on death. There is no reason to force these kinds of mechanics on players, this is just bad game design.
Many of the original POE1 players have grown up since the game was released. They got married and got kids. Got jobs. They value their time, other devs have picked up on it some time ago and developed games that respect player's time and effort. Players got used to it. Poe2 seems to be designed in many aspects based upon old principles - placeholder end-game or not. And even no-lifers, pardon the expression, seem to be struggling with poe2's design, what chances does once-hardcore player have to keep up? If they want longevity surely there are better ways to create it than forcing players into cheese1/uber-meta tactics? Hardcore games like Souls, Elden Ring have figured out the formula. Neither requires losing 3+hrs progression on a cheeky one-shot backstab from outside the line of vision.

Whats wrong with "struggeling" for few months f.e., till we find the gear to not struggle anymore?

Why do people have the need to "finish the game" and beat all content within the first 3 weeks?

If you have other purposes than gaming (lke me and most of us) simply enjoy the game phase that suits your gear state and take your time.....If you need 2 months till you can farm T15 without dying than it takes 2 months.

It's OK to need longer than streamer f.e. who play the game for living and already faceroll fully juiced T17+.

Just enjoy the gmae in your own pace....And if it takes you 50-60 T13 maps till you find the gear to farm T14, than it takes that long.

Noone urges you to have the same pace than Youtuber or player who have no other purposes than gaming. ;)
