Player Shops
What if we still had the trade site, but we would buy in a shop in hideout? People would place the shop down, it would still be a premium stash tab, can even be a new MTX. Instead of whispering the player we would visit their hideout. /hideout <name>
The UI for the shop could be like NPC shop. Could work even if the player is offline, or if they have been online in the past week if there's an issue with that. I'm very welcome to feedback on this idea, especially if against cause of something I missed. Last bumped on Dec 29, 2024, 12:27:14 AM

Or just have a fucking auction house?

" Interesting Idea. I'd like any improvement on the Trade experience. |

" There's a lot of gossip about how the reason there is no auction house is to sell the MTX. That way people can basically see the hideout MTX when they visit someone's hideout. I'm going on the assumption that is true and offering a different alternative. I feel like this is the best alternative. |

While I think an auction house would be my preference I'm perfectly fine with having "my own sell-bot" integrated into the game.
Perhaps the merchant [bot] would require a certain [flat] amount of gold / hour to keep operating. This would be a similar mechanic to what was introduced into the last PoE1 league so it WOULD have a cost associated with it that the player would have to pay ... but just playing the game should handle that nicely. |

" They can put fucking banner ads in the auction house for all I care. |

" This is one of the lowest IQ takes I've ever seen, I sure hope this isnt your gossip LOL. If they added an auction house these same people would be complaining about how the bots are even more powerful with automated trading. Anyways, good luck. If you think that the reason they don't add a AH is to sell you MTX I have multiple bridges in kentucky id like to sell you. Step 1 is to self reflect.

" Why do people have to come into a discussion and go out of their way to stir-the-pot?? I will grant you the obvious though ... the people that are REALLY good at the game will be richer than me [most people] by orders of magnitude no matter what is done [within reason] to reign them in. However I believe that the argument to be made is sound in terms of economic theory ... Overall if you have an economy [real or virtual] then putting up barriers to entry [friction] to participate with economic activity is generally considered a strong negative. Seeing that this is a FEEDBACK forum if you'd like to discuss the economic merits of certain ideas I'd be happy to engage. |
